Key Responsibility Areas	• Under supervision, provides networking and telecommunications support. • Under supervision, installs hardware and software. • Under Supervision, performs technical evaluations of hardware and software. • Under Supervision provide a consultancy service to the Units. • Under Supervision, maintains the network and telecommunications infrastructure for the Municipality.

Job Purpose	Perform the administration tasks necessary to maintain the effective operation of all computing systems on 24/7 basis.
Key Responsibility Areas	• Install software and hardware by planning the installation process. • Respond to service outages by addressing system alerts and other reports from various sources including service desks alerts. • Perform routine audit of systems by recording system configuration parameters. • Implement security schemes by assessing, in conjunction with the IT Security Officer, potential system security weaknesses. • Performs routine and adhoc system maintenance tasks. • Investigates and assesses performance problems using performance analysis tools (profilers) to do dynamic static performance analysis.
