MARKETING COORDINATOR

Location: BATHU HEAD-QUARTERS – GAUTENG

This role requires someone with strong communication, problem-solving skills and an ambitious individual with great content-creation skills. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively read, interpret information and analyse social media trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of Marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives for all stores under management to drive incremental sales
  • Work closely with Brand and Retail teams to ensure marketing plans, support key product stories for the brand and deliver against shared business goals measured through KPIs
  • Handles communications and PR with agency locally in terms of events, social media campaigns, branding assets, influencers, printing, etc.
  • Propose, present and track a marketing budget for the year in retail, including all stores. This will include, but is not limited to budget tracking
  • Help with the execution of brand unity in the Retail industry, meaning that digital and physical presence is interconnected and consistent across all retail stores and websites in order to drive traffic to the stores
  • Responsible for content creation for existing social media channels and evaluating new social channels as well to drive traffic and/or increase brand awareness
  • Represent the company and its brands wherever the job takes you.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Strong communication skills to work with team members effectively
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be agile at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information and analyses social media KPIs such as engagement
  • Must be able to prioritise and plan work activities so as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organised, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, work well with Management and Retail teams, and must be able to improve performance through feedback
  • Must be a self-starter and contribute meaningfully in brainstorming sessions and in ways to improve the company’s activities
  • Must be proactive in solving any issues that arise or any future issues expected.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, and to communicate with retail team, customers and marketing partners

Job specifications : 

  • 2-3 years of Marketing experience
  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Similar course
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Must have own transportation
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
