The incumbent in this role is responsible for the following components within the Regulatory Affairs Department – Mineral Rights, BBB-EE verification processes and the implementation of the SLP and Mining Charter targets throughout the implementation cycle which includes Governance, Strategy, Performance, Assurance and Improvement, and Communication.

Key Responsibilities

Providing input into the BBB-EE verification processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and improvement of the level/rating.
Assisting with the compilation, submission, implementation and monitoring of the SLP and Mining Charter targets throughout the implementation cycle which includes Governance, Strategy, Performance, Assurance and Improvement, and communication.
Maintaining adequate administrative and record keeping systems.
Engaging with internal stakeholders and keeping up with external developments to ensure that internal processes keep up to ensure legislative compliance and security of tenure.
Ensuring compliance to all applicable legislated dates for submission and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

Law Degree or equivalent.
BBB-EE Certificate will be an added advantage.
Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

Minimum Experience

3 Years’ experience in the mining, government regulation, legal practice or consulting environment.
