Global Forwarding Freight – South Africa has an opening for an Industrial Projects Operations Controller where you will be responsible for the management of project shipment for Industrial Projects customers, file management and communication with customers on their shipment status.  Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

In this Industrial Projects Operations Controller position

• You will accept all orders estimates as assigned by the Operations Manager and open shipment files.
• You will create and confirm transport order and perform booking and booking optimization.
• You will prepare, control and distribute all required documents and reports.
• You will maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers.
• You will be responsible for identifying performance issues of suppliers and propose solutions to improve/correct performance.
• You will meet with service providers when necessary.
• You will coordinate export and import of project cargo worldwide via air, sea, and road-freight either Containerized or Breakbulk in line with customer SOP.
• You will proactively inform customer on shipment status, exceptions and provides intermediate updates on incident solution.
• You will take accountability and effectively handle customer inquiries and ensure effective tracking of cargo and submission of status reports.
• You will prepare sales invoices and acquittal packs plus review, approve, and load supplier invoices for payment.
• You will register all customer complaints and drive solution of customer complaints and act as first contact point for customer claims.
• You will collaborate closely with other DGF departments for smooth handling of shipments and continuous updates.
• You will escalate issues timeously.
• You will ensure that the required documents are uploaded into E-docs and that each file is up to date before closing.
• You will attend meeting, travel to site if required and ensure KPIs are met.

• Must have a matric
• Diploma/Degree will be advantageous
• 5 years’ experience in related industry
