Minimum Required Qualification:
• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
• N2 Engineering Drawing
• Section 13 or 26D (completed learnership / apprenticeship) Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate as recognised by the QTCO
The Appointee should:
Certified Competent as Motor Mechanic (Diesel)
Grade 12 or Trade Specific N2
At least 1 years’ experience in a related role.
Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Clear security screening record.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance, Installations & Construction • Adhere to automotive maintenance and installation standards and specifications. • All automotive maintenance and installations to be inspected and checked for quality purposes. • Safe, correct and effective application of equipment and machinery utilised during duties. • Adherence to maintenance schedules. • Attending to mechanical and auto electrical breakdowns. • Escalation of unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful maintenance and installations. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. Administration • Completion of relevant documentation. • Adherence to document control standards and procedures. • Provisioning of data and information. • Safekeeping of documentation. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Relations • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally. • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Financial Management Cost Savings: • Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives. • Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations. Building a values-based organisational culture • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
