Introduction
A vacancy exists for a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant based at Life Dalview, reporting to Jolandé Pienaar, Pharmacy Manager.
Critical Outputs
- Dispensing of medication to all in and out patients under direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Perform duties as per scope of practice as prescribed by SA Pharmacy Council.
- Supplying of medication to the wards and theatre to assist with the management of all pharmaceuticals within the hospital.
- Ordering of ethical stock.
- Replacement of medication to the emergency cupboard.
- Performing cycle counts with variance investigations.
- Ensuring that all protocols and legal requirements are adhered to.
- Any other task that may be deemed necessary by Line Manager for the optimal functioning of the Pharmacy
Requirements
- Qualification as Pharmacist assistant (post basic) and registration with the Pharmacy council
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Pharmacy experience and exposure to the Impilo and SAP system will be an advantage.
- Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
- Good communication and relational skills.
- The successful candidate will be required to be available for weekend, public holiday and after hours duties on a rotational basis.
