Introduction

A vacancy exists for a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant based at Life Dalview, reporting to Jolandé Pienaar, Pharmacy Manager.

Critical Outputs

• Dispensing of medication to all in and out patients under direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Perform duties as per scope of practice as prescribed by SA Pharmacy Council.
• Supplying of medication to the wards and theatre to assist with the management of all pharmaceuticals within the hospital.
• Ordering of ethical stock.
• Replacement of medication to the emergency cupboard.
• Performing cycle counts with variance investigations.
• Ensuring that all protocols and legal requirements are adhered to.
• Any other task that may be deemed necessary by Line Manager for the optimal functioning of the Pharmacy

Requirements

• Qualification as Pharmacist assistant (post basic) and registration with the Pharmacy council
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Pharmacy experience and exposure to the Impilo and SAP system will be an advantage.
• Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
• Good communication and relational skills.
• The successful candidate will be required to be available for weekend, public holiday and after hours duties on a rotational basis.
