Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering
- A valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate – MS Office (excel, word outlook etc.
- Legal/Operational compliance knowledge
- Candidates must be medically fit to perform duties in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated supervisory experience
- Minimum of 3 years crusher operations and aggregate processing knowledge
- Sound product knowledge
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Ability to respond and solve operational concerns
- Must have ability to do planning, lead, organise, control, and follow up
Duties and Responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Achieve production targets
- Monitor plant performance and ensure plant efficiency standards are met
- Ensure adequate stock piling and report any problems to sales
- Ensure good housekeeping in the Plant area
- Ensure all production meets the specified quality standards
- Attend to any quality problems reported by the Laboratory Analyst
- Ensuring safety and environmental compliance
- Ensure safe working conditions by complying with all health and safety requirements
- Ensure environmental compliance by complying with all environmental requirements
- Conduct any inspection, investigation or exercise required by the SHERQ Department
- Ensure all department employees are safety inducted and that all applicable Mine Authorisation Permits are in place
- Monitor staff morale and address any issues of concern
- Executing all agreed projects and / or carrying out ad hoc assignments

General Worker
General Worker (Afrimat Aggregate Operations Denver Quarry – Gqeberha)
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 9 but Grade 12 will be advantageous
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Pre-employment medical required
- Ability to stand for long periods;
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
- Assist with manual labour and plant maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the plant is cleaned regularly and as when required
- Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the plant
- Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area i.e. cleaning of screens, etc.
- Carry out other instructions given by your superior
- Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
- Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site
- Acknowledge that Management reserves the right to allocate additional tasks when for wherever reason the task cannot be completed on standard allocated job
- Be willing to work overtime and weekends as and when required.
- Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.

Dumper Operator
Dumper Operator (Afrimat Aggregate Operations Denver Quarry – Gqeberha)
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 9 but Grade 12 will be advantageous
- Must have valid dumper operator certificate
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Must have a basic mechanical background
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Pre-employment medical required
- Ability to sit for long periods; handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis;
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare machines for operation and ensure that machines are in good working condition before operating
- Operate the machine as per production requirement on site Do daily pre-start checks
- Carry out minor mechanical repairs on the equipment as and when required and assist mechanical workshop on fault findings when working on the machine
- Maintain the cleanliness of the immediate general working area and machinery
- Check the moving plant at the start of each day
- Load trucks and move material
- Able to carry out instructions given by superior
- Be a responsible, honest and motivated employee

Water Truck Driver
Water Truck Driver (Afrimat Aggregate Operations Denver Quarry – Gqeberha)
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 9 but Grade 12 will be advantageous
- Valid Code 14 drivers License (Required)
- Multi-skilled
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Basic mechanical background (preferred)
- Pre-employment medical required
- Ability to sit for long periods; handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis;
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Spray water as required throughout the yard / site / quarry, throughout the day
- Collect and deliver water as directed
- Visually and physically check each item on the truck that is listed in the Operator’s Daily Pre-Start Check List
- Report any problems that have been identified
- Continually check the gauges of the truck during operation
- Attend to problems immediately if gauges show a problem
- Drive the truck within the manufactures specifications (load, speed, gears etc.) and in accordance with standards set during training
- Fill up with fuel and clean truck as required
- Ensure the truck is never overloaded
- Report all accidents to management

Afrimat is currently seeking the services of an Internal Audit Intern. The Internal Audit Intern will be part of the Internal audit team providing assurance to the Board and Senior management. This role is a developmental role to expose the incumbent to the Internal Audit discipline, from risk identification, planning, data analytics, audit execution and audit reporting.

- B.Com Internal Audit degree or equivalent diploma.

The Internal Auditor Intern will form part of the Afrimat Internal Audit team and will have the following responsibilities under an Internal auditor’s supervision:
- Complete Afrimat Graduate Development Program for Internal Audit discipline.
- Form part of the Internal Audit assurance team performing reviews across Afrimat.
- Assist in improving risk/control environment of operating units in Afrimat.
- Develop and enhance data analytic skills and application thereof in audit assignments.

Internal Auditor – Data Analytics
Internal Auditor – Data Analytics (Afrimat Management Services)
Afrimat is currently seeking the services of an Internal Auditor Data Analytics. The Internal Auditor – Data Analytics analyses business data to provide exception, trend- and predictive analysis reports on possible control failures to Internal Auditors for data driven assurance, and to the business through continuous controls monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies
- B.Sc. Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent degree/diploma with computer programming, statistics and mathematics as major components.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) through the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years’ experience and working knowledge in the following areas:
- Use of data mining and analysis software in an audit environment.
- Proficiency in ACL Analytics or Arbutus Analytics and PowerBi will be an advantage.
- Data management concepts, database structures and database management systems.
- Data Analytics, Continuous Auditing and Continuous Controls Monitoring.
- Sage X3, Accpac and Sage 300 Payroll.
- Experience in the mining industry would be a notable advantage.

Performance specific to Data Analytics:
- Develop and maintain data analytics to support the continuous auditing and continuous monitoring processes.
- Work with internal auditors and business to identify, develop and refine data analytics used during ad hoc and assurance reviews.
- Perform pro-active data analytic reviews in high risk processes to assist management and report on findings.
- Develop data analytics and report on exceptions for Information Management project data assurance reviews.

The candidate will be responsible for:
- Compile/Review and implement all Codes Of Practice (COP’s)
- Implement Management Systems
- Prepare for Audits and implement Audit Findings
- Assist in implementing Policies and Procedures
- Conduct audits on External Suppliers and report findings
- Identify high Risk Areas and implement processes to reduce the risks.
