Job DescriptionA Trainee Sourcing Coordinator is someone who has experience with a clothing supplier or fashion retailer. In addition this person needs to be highly organized, a “go getter” who loves fashion and can negotiate for our buying teams.

This position will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town.
Key ResponsibilitiesTaking effective briefs from Buyers
Negotiating and liaising with suppliers, local and international
Managing strict deadlines
Liaising with key stakeholders to meet required standards
Work with Buying and Quality teams to achieve fashionable products
Qualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualification:
Clothing technology correlated work experience
Strong organisational skills
Knowledge of product supply and manufacturing
CompetenciesExcellent communication skills
Assertiveness and influencing ability
Highly energetic

Key Responsibilities• Assisting the Sourcing Co-ordinators in compiling the “new brief packs”
• Co-ordination of outward and inward bound parcels
• Recording the movements of all garments, swatches, artwork, colour submissions on the relevant (GIS) system Conveying garments to and from Departments for fit sessions
• Ensuring the availability of garments for reviews/showing etc.
• Constant liaison with vendors/buyers on day-to-day issues
• Internal payment system activities/orders for local packaging
General administration
Qualifications and ExperienceQualification/s:
• Minimum grade 12

Experience / Knowledge:
• At least 2 to 3 years previous administration and clerical experience – ideally within a clothing retailer and/or importer
• Computer literate (Excel,Word)
Competencies• Ability to work under pressure
• High energy levels and self-motivator
• Attention to detail
• Strong team orientation
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
