The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the review and analysis of commercial statements, expenditures and purchases, as well as the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics (NQF Level 7)
Driver’s license
2-5 Years’ Financial Accounting and Analysis experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Pricing Methodology Policies, Processes and Procedures
Develop,recommend and drive implementation of pricing methodologies to support the overall company goals
Provide input into all existing Pricing policies, processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement within the business unit/ company
Provide input into menu pricing for budget purposes in line with supply chain strategy
Operational Management
Develop modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability
Identify and recommend innovative pricing structures and sales funnels to limit the impact on the menu
Develop measurement tools to identify market trends and perform competitor analysis
Facilitate / Coordinate the supply and timeous availability of product information (Supply Chain, Casas, Inventory Management System etc.)
Attend to and resolve all queries or discrepancies timeously and escalate when necessary
Attend to any ad hoc requests required by management
Pricing and Financial Analysis and Reporting
Analyse and report on all queries and discrepancies received and recommend / implement continuous improvement initiatives
Update, analyse, track and report on supplier pricing forecasts monthly
Analyse and report on pricing data against industry standards, previous sales trends and competitors
Track and Report on process analysis monthly and recommend and implement streamlining initiatives
Capture relevant data accurately and compile, prepare and submit monthly market comparisons reports
Analyse pricing discrepancies and take corrective action timeously
Reconcile, consolidate, and analyse financial data and reports (income statements, balance sheets, expenditure etc.) to report on trends, discrepancies, market performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Create and maintain strong working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Work collaboratively with Sales, IT and Procurement teams to ensure a smooth new business processing operation
Governance, Risk and Compliance
Adhere to all company standards, policies, governance and compliance rules and regulations
Ensure compliance to all regulatory framework (e.g. Competition Act, Anti-corruption and Bribery Act etc.)
