RESPONSIBILITIES

Current Trade: Stay abreast of market trends and dynamics, leveraging real-time insights to make informed decisions that optimize our product offerings and drive sales.

Post Mortem & Seasonal Strategy: Conduct thorough post-mortem analyses to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop comprehensive seasonal strategies that align with market trends and customer preferences, ensuring our assortments remain relevant and competitive.

Assortment, Booking & Production: Curate compelling assortments that resonate with our target audience, balancing style, quality, and value. Collaborate closely with suppliers to secure bookings and oversee the production process to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.

Travel: Immerse yourself in the global marketplace through strategic travel initiatives, attending trade shows, supplier visits, and trend scouting trips. Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and industry partners to stay ahead of emerging trends and opportunities.

Team Commitment: Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within your team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to maximize individual and collective performance. Champion teamwork and cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/Degree: Fashion Design or Clothing Management.
  • 3 – 4 Years of Buying Experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree or NQF Level 6/Diploma.
  • 3+ years of retail planning experience.
  • Skills in commercial acumen, economics, retail market knowledge, conflict management, analytics, and an understanding of our business processes and systems.
