Introduction
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Site Superintendent, to be based at Dishaba Mine near Thabazimbi, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager Raise Drilling.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
· Safe achievement of production targets in line with contractual requirements
Project management, budgeting and financial management experience Effective planning, leading, organising and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production
Cost containment through effective budget management and efficient target achievement in areas of responsibility
Accurate, timely and relevant reporting and project administration
Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement
Efficient achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR and project scope
Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client’s and M&RC’s standards, procedures and policies
Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC’s values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Possess either a recognised Shift Supervisor Certificate (includes Planning, Leading, Organising and Control) or a Supervisory Skills Certificate
Competent A
MS Office Proficient [Word, PowerPoint, MS projects and Excel]
Good English verbal and written communication skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in shaft and Orepass rehabilitation / secondary support such as wire mesh and lacing, installation of long anchors and specialized support projects in a supervisory or management position
Previous experience acting as a Site Superintendent or equivalent in mining environment
Experience in managing subcontractors in mining, construction and underground environment
Planning, production and shaft rehabilitation skills with sound knowledge of mining operations

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Provide effective administrative services and support to the recruitment department in line with policies, procedures and standards
Advertise and screen to deadlines
Prepare interview packs, arrange and conduct interviews timeously
Conduct verification of candidates’ qualifications and verify that valid reports are received
Timeous and complete consolidation of required paperwork for identified candidate
Load requisitions on JDE and follow up on payments
Update and maintain recruitment trackers
Save and maintain recruitment related documentation on the shared drive and in the hard copy filing system

Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
Human Resources related Degree / National Diploma at NQF Level 6
MS Office Proficient (Word, Excel)
Exposure to an online recruitment system e.g. PNET
Exposure to SharePoint or similar document management system (advantageous)
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail
Good English written and verbal communication skills
Exposure to Dots360 or similar system
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
At least 4 years of relevant HR experience preferably within a mining contracting environment with working knowledge of recruitment from sourcing to placement
Good understanding and knowledge of human resources practices and legislation
