Human Capital Administrator

  • Position: Human Capital Administrator

Purpose of the role:

  • To provide Human Capital Administrative support to the PIC Staff and Human Capital Team
    on all the Human Capital Value Chain components (on-boarding to termination).

Requirements:

  • Degree or National Diploma in HR or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • 2 – 4 years in HR Administration role within the Asset Management and Investment Industry.
  • Data/Information Management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of BCEA, OHSA, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act and
    Employment Equity Act required).

Duties:

  • Verify the data to ensure that the information is accurate and consistent.
  • Responsible for correcting or removing incorrect, incomplete, or duplicate data.
  • Maintain records and upload the information on the HR system.
  • Maintain records on the HR system.
  • Maintain audit trail and records of all the information updated on the HR system.
  • Review duplicate records and merge records.
  • Proactively contact employees to ensure their contact details are up to date.
  • Support ad-hoc administrative tasks to the Human Capital team.
  • Interrogate data and amend as required.
  • Liaise with other internal stakeholders to verify data.

PMV Analyst (Isibaya)

Purpose of the role:
To maximise the value of assets under management by assisting in managing the portfolio of assets,
monitoring and driving the performance of the investments.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • B Commerce Degree (finance, accounting, engineering) or any other relevant commerce,
    science and engineering degree
  • 2-4 years relevant experience
  • FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Post Graduate Degree (finance, engineering, legal) or any other relevant commerce and
    engineering degree

Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement

Duties:

  • Analysing new investments and analyze financial information relating to specific companies
    and portfolio data.
  • Compile and consolidate portfolio reports and presentations.
  • Creating financial models for investments including analysis of returns, sensitivities and
    scenario analysis etc for restructuring or exit purposes
  • Creating committee presentations on portfolio performance
  • Assist in compiling investment reports to maximise the value of assets under management
    (such as restructuring, follow-on funding, debt conversion, rescheduling repayments,
    amendments, and regular waivers on defaulting investments).
  • Compiling shareholder resolutions for annual general meetings, special shareholder
    meetings
  • Manage and observe the portfolio investments for compliance with legal agreements
    including undertakings, covenants and payments.
  • Conduct research and gather relevant data on the industry and competitors to contribute to
    the knowledge management process (development of lessons learnt and best practices) and
    to identify growth opportunities and areas of concern.
  • Assist senior team members in active investment management focused on value add and
    successful exits

Quantitative Analyst

Purpose of the role:

As part of the Research and Innovation team the candidate will undertake quantitative models
and provide information and investment ideas to the Quantitative Specialist and other
Investment Teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a specialisation in quantitative discipline
  • At least 3- 5 years’ experience in researching quantitative methods in investments.
  • Statistical and mathematical skills applied within the asset management industry.
  • Inquisitive nature, driven to excel in all aspects of the analytical process and in
    programming – primarily using R, PowerBI, Python, etc.
  • Data and predictive analytics capabilities and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine
    Learning (ML) in the investment environment.

Duties:

  • Manage systems to ensure asset allocation decisions for PIC to optimize its dual mandate
    for financial and developmental returns.
  • Support Quantitative Specialists through research to ensure sector investment models are
    optimised.
  • Improve quantitative models that help to support PIC investment objectives.
  • Implementation of models to measure the impact of the investable ideas generated by the
    division
  • Data mining, scrubbing, cleaning, mapping and analysis using PowerBI, Python and R
    skills.
  • Research the latest model-building methodologies and ensure implementation within the
    business.
  • Assist in building the data science capabilities of the business. Data analytics to support
    business needs.
  • Ad-hoc analytics/data science projects as required by business.
  • Remain relevant to the needs of the PIC to ensure leading investment practices in SA and
    African opportunities.

Operational Risk Analyst

  • Position: Operational Risk Analyst

Purpose of the role:
To identify, assess and mitigate risks within the organization’s operational processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Risk or Audit or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Sound understanding of operational risk management principles.
  • Financial services industry knowledge and experience (Preferably Asset Management).
  • A good understanding of the key areas of the organization.
  • 2 – 4 Years relevant experience

Duties:

  • Conduct day-to-day operational risk activities in terms of the Operational Risk Management
    Framework (ORMF) and related frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist the Senior Manager: Operational Risk in the identification, assessment, responses,
    and monitoring of Operational Risk in the PIC
  • Coordinate the risk analysis activities of the PIC Business Units, including both listed and
    unlisted investments.
  • Work with Compliance, Internal & External Audit functions and other Assurance Providers to
    direct their efforts towards reviewing controls that mitigate the identified risks across the
    organization.
  • Support the process of identifying and reporting risk incidents and assist in the design of risk
    mitigation and control procedures within PIC.
  • Support process of identifying and reporting issues and actions within PIC.
  • Conduct control environment assessments for the organization.
  • Conduct, implement and assess key risk indicators.
  • Assist the ORM Department with reporting to various governance structures
