Brief Role Description
To plan, design, develop and introduce the provision, modification and maintenance of material handling facilities, transport, packaging, processes and systems for the optimal material flow from source to point of use to support Production, P&A and Localizations and Export projects in achieving their scheduled targets. To analyze, maintain and control the various Logistics Planning Contracts by liaison with the necessary VWSA departments and external contractors in order to reduce costs and improve methods of control on an ongoing basis.
Possible Tasks within this Role
Planning and preparing detailed logistics material flow concepts in production and warehouse environments for optimum solutions.
Preparing detailed layouts, drawings and job specifications for specialized facilities
Conceiving, designing and procuring logistics facilities, i.e. stillages, pallets, dunnage, trolleys, racking, general storage facilities and packaging based on analysis and interpretation of requirements for new projects, production requests
Defining detailed project plans for coordinating and monitoring
Preparing Enquiry Requests to obtain quotations from suppliers

Preparing appropriation requests to justify capital expenditure
Preparing and issuing purchase requisitions.

Qualification requirements
Degree or National Diploma in fields of either Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or Purchasing
Experience needed
3 years’ experience with logistics processes within manufacturing environment.
At least 18 months’ experience in Project Management

Brief Role Description
To take ownership and responsibility for the entire automation system (IT + OT) considerations during project implementation as well as operational performance of the automation systems interfacing into the various IT systems; including failure analysis, maintenance, optimization analysis and future technologies
Possible Tasks within this Role

Manage & ensure Shopfloor IT systems are updated with latest bug & security patches as per specified intervals.
Perform programming & diagnostics on automation systems using engineering tools in order to reduce downtime or optimization activities.
Implement, manage and maintain change management procedures using documented processes.
Compile & maintain a complete IT & OT asset list of all Paint shop equipment utilizing manual & automatic processes to ensure good record keeping and compliance as per VW standards
Qualification requirements
Have a National Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Experience needed
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in control system technologies or in the maintaining of shop floor IT.
