The Key purpose Head of Social & Digital Content is to be a strategic leader responsible for aligning social media initiatives with AB-InBev’s business objectives. This role demands a deep understanding of AB-InBev’s brands and operational efficiencies to drive superior performance against social media KPIs. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the social media strategy for some of south Africa’s most iconic brands, requiring a combination of strategic vision, operational expertise, and creative leadership.

The position oversees a team of Social Media Managers and Community Managers, ensuring all social activities adhere to best practices and deliver maximum value.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage Social Media Managers and Community Managers, serving as the main liaison between the social team and other departments.
  • Provide training and upskilling to elevate team performance.
  • Ensure creative excellence and adherence to quality standards.
  • Integrate social media activities into full-funnel marketing strategies.
  • Guide teams on monthly content planning, campaign roll-outs, and strategic alignment with brand teams and partner agencies.
  • Develop and execute an engagement plan to build morale and team cohesion.
  • Escalate challenges appropriately and implement social media best practices.
  • Monitor platform developments for opportunities and recommend implementation where applicable.
  • Generate social media insights and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage team rosters, resources, and workflows for optimal output.
  • Foster and maintain strong brand partner relationships through regular check-ins.
  • Identify real-time opportunities for brand engagement and collaborate with creative teams to act on them.
  • Drive continuous improvement in ways of working across DraftLine, brand teams, and partner agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in PR, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience managing a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Proven attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing large-brand social accounts.
  • Expertise in setting and achieving departmental KPIs.
  • Up-to-date with the evolving social media landscape and platform trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster valuable online conversations across various brand types.
  • Proficiency with social media tools (e.g., Crimson Hexagon, Brand watch, Social Bakers).Comprehensive understanding of major social platforms including but not limited to: Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Spotify.
  • Proven ability to develop cross-platform content strategies.
  • Experience in data-driven creative environments and presenting innovative solutions.
  • Solid understanding of owned, earned, and paid media.
  • Experience in live social media event coverage and communications best practices.

The key purpose of the Brand Intelligence Analyst is to play a pivotal role within the Measure Team, serving as the strategic guardian of assigned brand portfolios. They drive impactful decision-making by delivering actionable insights and recommendations, seamlessly integrating data from social listening, brand strategy, paid media, sales, and more. By harnessing the power of data builds from our Data Analysts and trend insights from Consumer Insights Analysts, they shape strategies that elevate brand performance. Main Purpose or Function of the Position​

Key driver of high-impact brand performance reporting, excelling in a fast-paced, dynamic environment at a portfolio level. Their mission is to uncover and implement strategic insights and recommendations that not only align with brand values but also deeply resonate with target audiences, driving measurable growth. They are instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation and curiosity, championing the adoption of data-driven creativity to build stronger, more resilient brands that lead in their categories.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate reporting efforts across paid, earned, and owned channels to maximize digital performance for assigned brands. Serve as the brand’s reporting custodian, delivering integrated insights and actionable recommendations that drive measurable results.
  • Ensure all tasks—weekly, monthly, campaign-based, or special research projects—are executed with precision and completed within agreed timelines, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Analysts to transform raw data into compelling insights and recommendations, aligning with brand strategy, current activities, and long-term strategic goals. Evaluate performance data with a sharp focus on target audiences, brand passion points, and performance objectives.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging insights frameworks. Continuously evolve reporting templates and techniques to set new standards for data visualization, analysis, and presentation.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, consistently enhancing quality through innovative approaches, challenging the status quo, and exploring creative methods to present insights. Maintain accurate timesheets to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations that transcend individual brands and drive performance improvements across both traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Interpret briefs with depth, delivering reports that not only meet objectives but address unstated brand partner needs, contributing to overarching KPIs with clarity and impact.
  • Innovate with tools to uncover deeper insights, regularly refine queries and improve data syntax to enhance accuracy and relevance, ensuring high-value insights are surfaced consistently.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the full 1-Year Plan, brand purpose, and Jobs to be Done for assigned brands, ensuring insights and recommendations are strategically aligned with brand goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric​
  • (Higher Certificate/Diploma) or relevant tertiary qualifications / certifications ​
  • 4+ years either insights analysis / strategy / research – key being the ability to interpret data and identify trends and insights ​
  • Knowledge and experience using research and reporting tools to drive performance insights identification and understanding​
  • Understanding of research techniques and frameworks with the ability to apply them in an agile environment​
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data and research across the marketing department​

The Key Purpose of this role is to support the Solutions team in the delivery of strategic objectives through sound business partnering focusing on building line manager capability and providing specialist advice on People processes and practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the overall health of talent and people practices in the various departments in line with People Operating Model.
  • Establish/monitor the People processes  throughout the year and coach line managers for excellent execution.
  • Translating business needs into clearly articulated and actionable organization and people plans.
  • Diagnose business performance problems and collaborate with specialist teams to create effective and integrated People solutions and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor organization performance and prioritise actions that drive the various excellence programmes – PSI and TSI.
  • Meet local delivery needs (e.g., employee relations/industrial relations, statutory/ regulatory requirements) pulling on specialists and others as required.
  • Participate in the governance of People  Operations to manage costs tightly, ZBB People Package understanding and management.
  • Ensure data integrity of Workday information.
  • Encourage and monitor use of tools, evaluate competency gaps and partner with L&D to develop customized solutions to address gaps.
  • Targeted Recruitment of specialist roles with key capabilities across the zone.
  • Drive Engagement initiatives to ensure a highly engaged team.
