PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Procure goods or services efficiently, economically, and effectively for the company. This involves managing costs, ensuring quality, building supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and meeting operational needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Responsible for sourcing multiple quotes from suppliers for required materials, equipment, or services in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with Senwes’ procurement policy by recording the selection process for quotes/tenders, ensuring that the chosen options offer the best combination of price, quality, and service delivery.
• Support relevant departments by communicating any procurement or supply problems that may impact business operations.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and various departments, facilitating smooth communication and fostering productive relationships.
• Review opportunities for continuous and business improvements.
• Conduct strategic procurement analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk/volume purchases, leveraging supplier relationships, and negotiating favourable terms.
• Support the formulation of product strategies through in-depth market analysis and research.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various branches, departments, and functional units to analyse demand and aid in defining the specifications of goods and services to be procured.
• Participate in the analysis of sales performance, seasonal trends, and consumer buying behaviours to inform the development of comprehensive category and marketing strategies.
• Conduct research, identification, vetting, and registration of prospective suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supplier network.
• Cultivate, sustain, and oversee supplier relationships while fostering open communication channels.
• Ensure strict adherence to company purchasing procedures throughout supplier interactions, negotiations, and contract adjudication.
• Conduct thorough research on new components and potential suppliers to support strategic procurement decisions.
• Continuously monitor and assess new products to ensure adherence to established quality benchmarks.
• Oversee the performance of suppliers, conducting regular assessments to drivecontinuous improvement and mitigate risks effectively.
• Expedite Orders: Actively follow up on orders and shipments to ensure they are processed, produced, and delivered on time, resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
• Analyse and manage stock levels proactively, implementing strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize excess holding.
• Identify and address discontinued stock items efficiently to reduce inventory holding costs.
• Oversee the process of product returns in collaboration with suppliers, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon terms and conditions.
• Provide informed recommendations and execute plans for the distribution of stock to various branches or locations based on demand forecasts and inventory analysis.
• Take prompt action based on stock reports, including detailed analyses of stock ageing and provisions per product group, to ensure efficient inventory management.
• Maintain effective communication channels with clients to guarantee accurate acquisition of materials and equipment
• Continuously update clients and stakeholders on order progress to ensure transparency and alignment with expectations
• Generate reports and updates as needed.
• Regularly update and maintain product range categories.
• Collect data on supplier performance for evaluation purposes.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma / Advanced Certificate
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience

• Review existing civil engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material.
• Conduct inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Hinterland Fuels is looking for a Wheel Alignment Technician responsible to ensure effective wheel alignment practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

• Conduct inspections to determine whether any alignment issues exist in a manual way.
• Analyse wheels and tires of vehicles for the purpose of wheel alignment correction.
• Conduct inspections with the alignment machine for alignment issues.
• Use report from alignment machine and report findings.
• Reports finding of to management for relevant instructions.
• Lowering and/or raising motor vehicles by jack or hoist.
• Dismount and remount tires for correction of angles.
• Re-optimise the angles of wheel according to manufacture specifications.
• Make adjustments to the camber, caster, and toe of each wheel as needed.
• Align wheel system to ensure safe driving experiences.
• Rotate tyres according to instructions from management.
• Fitting and/or removing tyres.
• Strip tyres, Trim tyre and inflate tyres and tubes.
• Assist with general as-hoc functions as requested by management.
• Carry goods per request.
• Cleaning workbenches for repair and in general.
• Closing or opening boxes or other packages.
• Counting of stock for reconciling purposes.
• Repairing tubes.
• Fitting, removing and/or replacing batteries, tyres, tubes, rims and road wheels.
• Repairing punctures, including the fitting and reseating of tyre or inner tube valves.
• Holding parts, materials and/or tools and materials into position under the supervision of an employee in a higher wage group.
• Issuing materials previously recorded by storekeepers.
• Issuing and/or receiving tools and/or equipment to and from tool room and maintaining a record thereof.
• Issuing goods from workshop store to workshop personnel.

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate
• At least 2 to 3 years wheel alignment experience
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills to interact positively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Take ownership of tasks, demonstrate reliability, and follow through on commitments to deliver excellent service.
• Thoroughness and accuracy in tasks
• Willingness to acquire new knowledge, skills, and technologies to adapt to evolving job requirements and industry trends.
