RCL Foods is seeking 2 Artisans : Fitter and Turner to join our Baking Divisionbased in the Pretoria West Mill. This position reports to the Maintenance Foreman.

Minimum Requirements
Fitter and Turner trade test/ Fitter and Turner with Millwright dual trade
N3 and above would be an advantage.
Proof of the successful completion of a formal Institutionalised Training Programme is essential
Milling work experience of 5 years and above will be an advantage.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Computer Literacy
Basic electrical experience will be an advantage.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Leadership of self and others.
Mentoring apprentices and artisan assistants.
Ability to work systemically
Duties & Responsibilities
Adhere to preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance requirements. Proactively raise and address maintenance concerns within area of responsibility.
Be able to comply with Food safety standards, and previous FMCG experience will be an advantage.
Diagnose and correct mechanical problems.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Record maintenance and repair work performed.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, mechanical equipment.
Assemble, install and / or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment on steam and waterlines.
Doing fault finding on mechanical equipment.
Ensure all routine inspections are carried out daily.
Adhoc assistance as required.

RCL FOODS is searching for an experienced Artisan Electrician to join our Sugar manufacturing team that is based in Malelane, Mpumalanga. This role will report to Packing Foreman. Primary objective of this position is to Maintaining all electrical equipment in the Malalane Packaging & Warehouse department.

Minimum Requirements
Trade tested Millwright or Electrician with N3
N4 and above would be an added advantage
Proof of the successful completion of formal Institutionalised training programme
Work experience of 5 years and above in a Packaging environment will be an added advantage
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Computer Literacy
Must have own Transport
Wireman’s licence will also be an advantage

Duties & Responsibilities
Maintaining, programming, commissioning, and fault finding on VSD’s & soft Starters220v -525V.
Do some repair work on Chillers and Dehumidifiers.
Maintenance of all Scales.
Maintain all Packing machines & ancillary equipment.
Maintenance of Electrical backup systems e.g. UPS.
Maintenance of MV and LV AC motors.
Installation of new equipment.
Doing fault finding on electrical equipment.
Transformer maintenance.
Maintenance in ATEX areas (Explosive Atmospheres).
Ensure all routine inspections are carried out daily.
Standby duties as per Standby roster.
Fault finding using PLC and Scada systems.

We are recruiting for a dynamic Mechanical Foreman -Sectional at our Pretoria West Plant. The purpose of this role is to manage the Mechanical, Boiler making and electrical part of the Factory and manage the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation departments to uphold all mechanical and electrical machinery to a high standard of safety and reliability. Additionally, the purpose of this role is to manage the practical implementation/ execution of key projects including that of the boiler making/ fabrication team.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of a completed Matric AND N5 Mechanical Certificate AND Trade Test Certificate as Fitter or Fitter & Turner OR,
Trade tested Millwright via structured apprenticeship programme with a minimum of N5 AND commitment to become a Master installation Electrician OR,
Minimum of a completed Matric AND N5 Electrical Certificate AND Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician AND Master installation Electrician
Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role at a Supervisory level within the Milling Industry.
The successful Candidate will be self-motivated with strong Leadership abilities and impressive Planning & Communication skills.
Must have ambition to complete a GCC.
Computer literate with a high technical aptitude and have in-depth knowledge of Flour Mill machinery & spares, as well as conducting structured root-cause analysis.
Must have in-depth hands on and administrative experience with hazardous environments with both gas and dust risk.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure efficient Maintenance and quality maintenance to all mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Drive implementation and execution of key projects in tandem with the technical team.
Drive development and execution of sectional improvement initiatives i.e., optimization projects.
Ensure SLA’s are implemented for key service, spares and OEM providers to ensure maximum uptime.
Conduct engineering problem-solving to maintain high equipment uptime.
Ensure team engagement by executing monthly one-one discussion to ensure individual KPI’s are tracked.
Conduct direct reports’ time and attendance daily to ensure that employees are remunerated accurately. Time is managed via BestTime software.
Conduct daily morning meetings as per the SHERQ agenda to ensure consistent alignment.
Maintain maintenance budget expenditure to within the approved thresholds.
Co-ordinate and allocate work to subordinates.
Deliver the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, facilities workshop performance objectives together with project execution.
Facilitate training of sub-ordinates.
Provide 24-hour coverage for mechanical and electrical engineering related matters i.e., standby on rotation as operationally required.
Ensure maintenance management activities are done in accordance with the workorder system.
Maintain a professional working relationship with all stakeholders (internal & external).
Write work instructions and conduct planned job observations.
Manage department overtime to within thresholds.
Maintain an effective team-work culture and carryout disciplinary code of practice as and when necessary- Drive performance and accountability.
Safety / Housekeeping Conducts engineering activities in accordance with the OHS Act 85, 1993 and related company safety protocols.
Conduct GMR2.7 audits as an appointed GMR2.7 in the areas designated and ensure all findings are closed out.
Ensure compliance with safe work procedures and related safety protocols.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workshop and in areas under depart control.
A working knowledge Computerised Maintenance Management Systems(CMMS). Specific preference is given to Pragma Onkey 5 (Onkey 5 Plus).
Knowledge of Store Inventory Management Systems and techniques.
An understanding of engineering machines components such as shafts, beraings , v-belts, drives, contactors, conveyors, motors, circuit breakers, etc.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
