Purpose
To lead, drive and implement strategies to enhance value creation and effective management of operational risks; fostering a culture of risk awareness and working collaboratively with business units in IAM in fortifying our first line of defense and resilience of the operational processes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operational risk management framework in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Operations Risk Control function in alignment with the overall risk management strategy of IAM and the Group
- Identify, assess, and quantify operational risks arising from IAM business unit processes, systems, and external factors.
- Collaborate with IAM business units to identify and evaluate operational risks associated with key processes and activities.
- Implement risk assessment methodologies to quantify and prioritize operational risks.
- Design and implement effective control measures to mitigate identified operational risks.
- Work closely with IAM business units to ensure that control measures are embedded in operational processes.
- Establish a robust incident reporting mechanism for the timely identification and escalation of operational incidents.
- Conduct thorough analysis of operational incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions and reporting to relevant governance committees on Operational Risk matters.
- Develop and maintain operational risk policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Provide guidance to business units on the implementation of these policies.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational risk control initiatives.
- Lead efforts to optimize operational processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational risk control initiatives with the overall business strategy.

- Conduct ongoing assessments (via targeted reviews or continuous involvement) of the Ops Risk governance architecture to ensure it remains relevant and efficient and is aligned to the Group Standards and industry / best practice.
- Recommend improvements and provide solutions based on the outcome of assessments or new developments.
Minimum Experience
5 – 8 years experience in a similar environment, of which 2 – 3 years at specialist level
