Role Purpose
The Product Owner II is a member of the agile team, responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. Role Purpose
This role provides essential support and technical assistance to help maintain the functionality and reliability of hardware and systems software. This role involves aiding in the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of various technologies. This role collaborates with senior team members to diagnose issues, perform repairs, upgrade systems, and maintain both externally and internally sourced hardware and software solutions, such as operating systems, data management products, office automation tools, embedded systems, and other utility software. This role plays an important part in improving system performance and supporting the overall technology infrastructure of the organisation.
Role Description
• Adhere to Service Level requirements while installing, maintaining, and supporting the organisation’s systems hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Align to organisational processes, policies, and procedures to deliver timely, high-quality secondlevel support services.
• Provide status reporting and issue management to ensure transparency and accountability across the support function.
• Conduct analysis to design networks that optimise the workflow of business applications effectively.
• Manage risks related to network and communication operations, ensuring operational integrity and reliability.
• Ensure continuity across integration projects through strict standards enforcement.
• Align technology solutions with business strategies to support overall organisational goals.
• Document and maintain network, hardware, and system software support policies and procedures, ensuring all daily activities, tasks, and system status information are readily available for standard reporting processes.
• Initiate any actions required to maintain or improve service levels within the organisation.
• Advise on the communications requirements of installed and planned networked information systems, including security features and performance targets.
• Investigate and analyse serious faults, implementing solutions to rectify issues.
• Apply analytical ability to examine technical data, determining effective solutions for complex system requirements.
• Execute control and management of system hardware and software configurations, including the installation and upgrading of servers and application tools while ensuring version control procedures are observed.
• Utilise supplier and user documentation to maintain accurate system configurations and user resources.
• Escalate issues when necessary to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Support and manage vendors to maintain cutting-edge knowledge of emerging technologies and enhance the organisation’s image as a leader in technological innovation.
Qualifications and experience
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems – (essential)
• +2 Years experience in IT network / system engineering
• Has good knowledge of the ICT products and services to be supported.
• Has wide and detailed knowledge of ICT.
• Demonstrates good communication skills with an aptitude for dealing with users, colleagues and suppliers, and takes an analytical approach to problem solving.
• Has good knowledge and understanding of ICT concepts and practice, coupled with practical knowledge of problem management and the principles and processes of implementing and delivering ICT services.
