Job description
The primary function of the Application Support Analyst is to provide 1st line operational technical support to JSE business critical applications to ensure that JSE Production systems execute accurately, timeously and within agreed SLAs. To deploy and support 3rd party and in-house developed technology capabilities within the Information Technology division. Engagement is expected with both internal and external stakeholders when required.

Qualification:

We are looking for a candidate to join the Registry team at JSE Investor Services (JIS), to perform daily, monthly and ad-hoc reconciliations, administration, and accounting support tasks, including updating and maintaining unclaimed dividend payments, and other records, in accordance with Issuer, statutory and service agreement standards.
Job description
Financial Reconciliantions Services
- Administer and balance all bank reconciliations for various client dividend and JIS bank accounts by gathering information, contacting clients, and ensuring information is accurate.
- Supply reconciliations to internal and external clients timeously and in accordance with SLA.
- Query and correct extraneous payment items with the banks.
- Maintain and update unclaimed payment lists.
- Ensure that daily balancing and checks are in place to identify any variances.
- Verify, confirm payment statuses – double check if payments have been negotiated – administer and provide accurate recons for bank accounts, and update statuses from all shareholders.
- Identify problems and high-risk events, raise issues with management for assistance and resolution.
- Ensure supporting evidence is available for all figures reflected in the reconciliation.
- Continuously seek to improve processes to create efficiencies and contribute towards enhancing the overall reconciliation process.
- Perform ad-hoc reconciliations.
Systems Administration
- Perform system reconciliations on all payment types.
- Keep INSTA up to date with all entries that are cleared off bank statements.
- Upload bank statements and reconciliations onto INSTA where applicable, daily.
- Update correct payment statuses for all shareholders daily.
- Download daily bank statements from online banking system.
Compliance
- Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines, recommending improved procedures.
- Operate within controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of JIS.
- Identify and report risks or areas of concern to management within area of responsibility.

Customer Service

- Reconcile and report monthly marginal income earned from interest on JIS accounts.

- Administer transfer of funds between respective internal accounts to provide accurate splits between Issuer and JIS funds.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Results Delivery
- Lead the delivery of the JSE enterprise-wide digital content strategy through and in partnership with the JSE preferred website agency.
- Partner and collaborate with business to ensure that the digital web content supports the business overall objectives.
- Develop a metrics for the measurement and evaluation of the JSE web, online advertising, intranet and social media platforms performance and report on progress periodically.

- Manage digital agency Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to ensure that they deliver within the agreed standards and expectations.
- Continuously monitor efficiency of the digital platform and liaise with relevant stakeholders to make remedial action based on sound findings from the monitoring of the platforms.
- Continuously improve on the quality and relevance of content shared on the platforms by understanding customer needs and mapping them against what the JSE platforms offer.
- Work collaboratively with the brand and marketing teams to ensure that the digital platform is an effective communication and promotion channel for the business that promotes its offerings as well as enhancing its brand positioning according to the strategic intent of the division.
- Meet compliance expectations by aligning content with marketing, brand and communication guidelines so that reputational risk can be averted.
- Ensure that the brand visual identity guidelines are used on the digital platform and work collaboratively with the brand team to develop visual identity solution where current guidelines are unclear.
