Purpose Statement

• The level III Software Engineer plays an integral part in a cross-functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle, from concept, to development to deployment and ultimately operating of each product. At this level, Software Engineers are responsible to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance complex software systems and applications, considering scalability, performance and future requirements. Responsible to guide and support developers and stakeholders in scoping, progress, status and resolution of engineering problems.
• The Back-end Software Engineer plays a crucial role in building solutions that offer optimum performance, reliability, and scale. They are responsible for writing and testing code for the development of the server-side components that power the application’s functionality.

• 6+ years’ proven experience in back-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language)

About the role:

At Capitec, the Software Engineer (AI) plays a pivotal role in our cross-functional team, dedicated to the full software development lifecycle of our GenAI-based products. This includes research, development, deployment, and the ongoing operation of each product. As a Software Engineer (AI), you will be responsible for research, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing complex AI-driven software systems and applications. Your focus will be on scalability, performance, and future requirements. 

You will work closely with our team of designers and developers to deliver robust GenAI solutions. This role also involves guiding and supporting developers and stakeholders in scoping, progress, status, and resolution of engineering problems. Your expertise in utilizing generative models, natural language processing, and AI-driven workflows will be crucial in creating intelligent systems that can generate content, automate creative tasks, and enhance user experiences in novel ways. 

Our ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of work experience in a ML/AI or associated domains
• 3+years of experience with AI/Machine Learning techniques, model development and deployment
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and AI development tools is a must
• Experience with information retrieval systems and Search
• Proficiency in Python, Java or C++, and other relevant programming languages

Purpose Statement

Are you ready to elevate your software engineering career? Capitec is seeking a passionate Level II Software Engineer to join our innovative team!

What You’ll Do:

• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and development to deployment and operation. You’ll design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software systems and applications, all while adhering to our high standards. You’ll translate requirements from business or technical analysts and actively participate with the delivery team in design and problem-solving.
• As a Back-end Software Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in building solutions that offer optimum performance, reliability, and scale. You’ll be responsible for writing and testing code for the development of the server-side components that power our application’s functionality.

Education (Minimum)

Education (Ideal or Preferred)

• 3+ years’ proven experience in back-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language). Experience with back-end frameworks and technologies

About The Role

As a Senior Salesforce UX Designer, you will provide strategic leadership in Product Design and UX design across digital platforms. You will solve complex design challenges and drive innovation in Product Design and user experience delivery. Serving as a subject matter expert and mentor, you will actively develop team capabilities and influence product strategy through design thinking and user advocacy. Lead high-impact design initiatives from initial concept to final implementation, facilitating design thinking workshops, and architecting sophisticated user flows and interaction patterns. You will also drive the evolution of design systems, create exemplar prototypes, and oversee comprehensive usability testing programs. Additionally, you will represent UX design in cross-functional delivery discussions, provide technical and strategic mentorship to team members, and contribute to the overall UX vision and strategy of the organization

Our Ideal Candidate

• A minimum of 5-7 years of professional UX design experience, with a proven track record of leading complex design initiatives.
• Experience in mentoring junior and mid-level designers
• Mastery of UX design principles and methodologies
• a deep understanding of design systems architecture
• Advanced knowledge of research methodologies, accessibility and inclusive design
• The ability to think strategically and set a vision, coupled with strong problem-solving skills.

Minimum Education
