Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
coordinate, review and approve transactions on the accounting system of Farmpack (Pty) Ltd,
ensure accurate and timeous processing according to financial procedures
support the finance and admin functions through maintaining accurate day-to-day accounting operations and
contributing to the preparation of financial information essential for decision making.
Requirements
Relevant BCom degree with Accountancy and at least 5 years’ relevant experience in private sector accounting, OR
Studying towards a relevant accounting degree with completed Articles (SAIPA/ SAICA)
Applicable experience in a fast-moving operational environment.
Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
Excellent computer skills and the ability to work with Excel on an advanced level.
Experience on Microsoft Navision or Business Central will serve as recommendation.

About this role:
This role is located within the Finance Department as part of the Financial Controller Team. The Assistant Financial Controller will report to the Financial Controller: VKB Group.
The Assistant Financial Controller will be responsible to work with the Financial Managers and Financial Controller of the different VKB entities to ensure a sound and accurate system environment. About the Role:
The role is established in the Governance, Risk and Compliance department of the VKB Information and Technology department as part of the Quality Assurance Team. The Junior QA Analyst will report to the Quality Assurance Lead and ultimately to the I&T Manager: Governance Risk and Compliance.
The Junior QA Test Analyst will be responsible to work with the Quality Assurance Team to deliver high-quality products in line with pre-determined standards to the relevant product owners. As part of the QA process, activities will include designing and executing of manual testing procedures in accordance with the Q&A framework and best practice principals.
Junior QA Analysts is regarded as a entry-level position in the QA department, but will have the opportunity based on performance to progress to a QA Analyst and ultimately a Senior QA Analyst.
Duties and Responsibilities
Familiarize and understand the requirements of the Software Quality Assurance Methodology, Framework and Team Guidelines.
Execute General (Manual) testing requirements and activities in line with the Quality Assurance Framework, these activities include:
Review system owner/user specifications, before executing testing activities to provide feedback and obtain specified information.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans/test cases, that must be explained and signed off by the relevant stakeholders.
Estimate, plan and prioritize testing activities as assigned.
Execute, document, and reference all procedures executed on quality monitoring templates as per SQA framework.
Identify, document, track, and report all the defects in line with the defect management requirements.
Perform and document regression testing when requested.
Liaise with internal teams (project team, developers and Leads) to identify system requirements that will allow the execution of testing procedures.
Work with our QA Engineers to help design and develop automated tests by guiding them on how a system was tested manually and what was tested.
Log and report defects and bugs found by following our defect management process and later utilizing retesting activities to confirm the defects have been resolved.
Execute BAU and project testing activities in line with the Quality Assurance Methodology and Framework.
Guide and help develop confidence and experience of QA graduates on the testing processes, systems being tested and the different communication channels utilized in the QA team.
Identify trends based on pro-active analysis of test results to identify route causes for consistent test failures.
Maintain knowledge of testing best practices and industry trends.
Attend all the prescribed training on the QA principals, Automation Tool requirements and ERP functionality.
Report on progression of testing projects/cases assigned by management on a metric and structured manner.
Deliver customer service of the highest quality to the VKB Operational departments to ensure the QA brand is recognized as leaders in test execution and innovation.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or minimum of 3 years’ experience in VKB (or a similar agricultural company).
1 Year software testing experience or a relevant ISTQB test qualification is required.
Experience In JAVA and Selenium will be beneficial.

High proficiency in computer technology and basic understanding of programming languages.
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (exceptional communication skills both verbal and written).

The QA Engineer will be responsible to work with the Quality Assurance Team to deliver high-quality products in line with pre- determined standards to the relevant product owners. As part of the QA process, activities will include designing and execution of automated testing procedures in accordance with the Q&A framework, best practice principals and software testing processes. The applicant must also have enough knowledge of manual testing as this is the base for automated testing.
QA Engineer is part of the senior roles within the QA department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training and development of team members (all concepts within the automation realm)
Maintaining existing or setting up complementing frameworks and test environments
Refine current policies, SOPs and automated testing processes to align with best practises
Continuously implement modern techniques and technologies to ensure code and development stays up to date with changes in the industry
Use and implement CI/CD to enhance testing processes
Perform test planning including the selection of appropriate test methodologies depending on the application type as well as collaborating with other team members to understand the scope of test cases
Report on progression of testing projects/cases assigned by management on a metric and structured manner
Reviewing code changes and pull requests to help team members improve, and ensure quality standards are met and maintained
Leading and overseeing the development of structured, high-quality testware as part of QA deliverables
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education
Applicable Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
5 Years + Automated Testing experience in development and execution of testing scripts
Experience in JAVA, JavaScript, Python programming languages
Knowledge and understanding of IaC as part of DevOps

About the Role:
The role is established in the Governance, Risk and Compliance department of the VKB Information and Technology department as part of the Quality Assurance Team. Familiarise and understand the requirements of the Software Quality Assurance Methodology, Framework and Team Guidelines.
Execute Business as Usual (BAU) and project testing activities in line with the Quality Assurance Methodology and Framework.
Identify, log and track defects and failures to ensure systems are continuously improved and a higher level of overall quality is achieved
Find trends based on pro-active analysis of test results to identify root causes for consistent test failures.
Maintain knowledge of testing best practices and industry trends.
Attend all the prescribed training on the QA principles, and system design or functionality.
Report on progression of testing projects/cases assigned by management in a metric and structured manner.
Deliver customer service of the highest quality to the VKB Operational departments to ensure the QA brand is recognized for leaders in execution and innovation.

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, a wheat mill in Frankfort in the Free State as well as a maize mill in Christiana and a Wheat Mill in Modderrivier in the Northern Cape.

The ideal candidate should have Grade 12 with reading and writing skills.
Technical background will serve as a recommendation

The Quality Controller will be responsible assist the Quality Control Manager within VKB Milling. Continuous evaluation of the system will be required.Requirements
Grade 12/ NQF 4
Proven experience within a similar role
Computer literate in the MS Office package
Food Safety Background
Duties and Responsibilities
Continuous liaison with internal departments on an ongoing basis to ensure Food safety service and products.
Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement such changes where relevant
Distribute and review all the relevant documentation and product specifications pertaining to Quality Assurance.
Audit and develop the company’s quality procedures ensuring the safety of all products manufactured.
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and Food safety requirements as per standards and procedures.
Perform inspections on Products, Equipment and Machinery and based on findings, accept or reject relevant products and procedures.
Ensure that the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing
