A vacancy exists for a Learning Centre AdministratorFixed Term Contract (4 months), based at the KwaZulu Natal Learning Centre, reporting to the Regional Education Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the administrative processes of the learning centre. Critical Outputs

  • Effective support of Quality Assurance

  • Effective regulator/legislative controls

  • Effective student tuition fee administration
  • Effective capturing and controls of student data
  • Effective controls of learning centre resources
  • Effective administrative support for key learning centre processes
  • Effective control of LHC documentation
  • Effective administrative support for marketing events

Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate – Grade 12
  • Relevant degree, diploma or certificate.
  • Computer skills included data management skills, Microsoft Office, SAP
  • Microsoft Office Certification advantageous
  • Understanding of the private higher education industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
  • Driver’s license.

  • Ensuring accurate and efficient administration of the credit control function.
  • Ensure all accounts are followed up in accordance with the working protocols and accounts are reconciled.
  • Manage DSO’s in line with budget per unit
  • Includes the responsibility and functions for more than one business unit
  • Ensure that the age analysis is managed in accordance with Life Healthcare protocols, targets and objectives.
  • Develop sound relationships with both internal and external customers including patients, funders, doctors and private patients.
  • Compliance with working procedures and quality requirements.
  • Accurate processing of the medical aid remittances and resolving short payments accordingly

  • Qualification – Grade 12
  • Must have a minimum of 5 year credit control experience (either at a medical aid or in a hospital)

  • Collection of linen from the units
  • Washing, ironing, and folding of linen
  • Distribution of linen to all units in the facility
  • Mending of linen and clothing
  • Cleaning, mopping and dusting in laundry.
  • Control the linen levels in units according to requirements.
  • Control the quality of the linen distributed and received
  • Accuracy in daily counting of linen
  • Stock take of linen to be done as required
  • Neatness and cleanliness of linen storeroom required.
  • Keeping accurate records of totals of linen collected and distributed in units.
  • Must be able to work shifts and over weekends and public holidays

Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in laundry services in a hospital is essential.
  • Knowledge of infection control, health and safety procedures and disaster management is essential.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving
  • Be able to work under pressure and Time management.
  • Eager to learn new systems and accept challenges.
  • Team player and be very energetic.
  • Person must be customer focused.
  • Accuracy with figures for stock counts
  • Sewing and seamstress skills will be advantageous.

The successful candidates will contribute towards the effective functioning of the unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.Critical Outputs

  • He will be responsible for the restoration/repairs of buildings and equipment, risk management and daily check lists.
  • The candidate must have a good understanding of plant equipment.
  • He must be self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Excellent completion of daily job cards as well as feedback thereof is high priority.
  • He will be responsible and involved in SHEQ procedures.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills are a must.
  • Do basic systems settings, to ensure continuous system availability.
  • Execute repairs / tasks as per job card and instructions from Supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in order to inspect, check on building structures and facilities in accordance with the preventative maintenance programme as delegated / directed by the Supervisor

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • 2 years of maintenance experience
  • Proof of competency in either of the following fields: electrical, building, plumbing, carpentry, glazing, welding or tiling.
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills a prerequisite.
  • Experience in dealing with customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure
