Requirements
- A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a Diploma
or B Degree in Property Asset Management/Business
Management/Finance/Property Valuation - Minimum of 5 – 8 years relevant experience required
which requires 2 years supervisory experience in Asset
Management in middle management. - Extensive knowledge of Asset Management and its application
- Broad knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations
Key Performance Areas
- Identifies short, medium, and long-term objectives &
plans for the enhancement of the Energy Directorate
by keeping abreast of technological developments. - Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilisation,
productivity, and performance of personnel in the Asset
& Insurance Section - Implements procedures, systems, and controls to regulate
specific work and associated sequences associated with
the functionality. - Prepares capital and operating estimates and controls
expenditure against approved budget allocations. - Manages the formulation of contract and tender documents
and controls contractual obligations. - Directs and controls the professional, technical, and
operational outcomes associated with the functions related
to capital asset creation. - Directs and controls professional, technical, and operational
outcomes associated with operational and non-operational
property. used by electricity directorate throughout the
metropolitan area. - Ensure that the damages recovery process is functioning
optimally by liaising with the business innovation section
to improve recovery. - Directs and controls the professional, technical, and
operational outcomes associated with the recovery of
loss control. - Disseminates information on short term, medium term & m objectives; current developments; problems and constraints.
- Co-ordinates specific administrative and reporting
requirements associated with the key performance and
result indicators of the functionality

Assistant Professional Officer
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Social Sciences including
Humanities, Social Work, Psychology or Community
Development degree or similar. - Up to 2 years’ relevant experience.
- A valid code EB drivers licence
- Computer literacy (Advanced MS Office skills).
- Prepared to work weekends, in various geographic locations
throughout the City and outside of normal working hours. - A third preferably local language will be an advantage.

Professional Officer
Requirements
- BTech or first Degree in Finance
- Minimum of three years’ experience in financial budgeting
environment - A valid Code EB driver’s licence
- Knowledge of MFMA, and other legislation
- Computer literacy (MS Office and SAP)
Key Performance Areas
- Assist the Head: Finance and Regional Managers in
coordinating, analysing, and capturing of the operating
expenditure trends and providing forecasts. - Monitoring of over and under expenditure on GL’s and assist to
correct deviations. - Assist with the preparation of the annual draft budget, adjustment
budget and Capital budget. - Provide support to the Cost Centre Managers to resolve
open/overdue Purchase orders, parked invoices, and other
financial matters. - Provide consolidated financial information in the form of
expenditure schedules, estimates and cost indicators, to support
future budget planning. - Maintaining and updating of all the registers of movable and
immovable assets - Assist and monitor the consolidation, processing and reporting of
information by participating in internal audits. - Assist Project Managers in the capturing of the budget via Project
Portfolio Management System. - Ensuring that all Cost Centre Managers adhere to the
requirements of Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Activity Based
Recovery (ABR) and related functions. - Assist in co-ordinating the costing function for the branch and
ensuring adherence to the requirements set out by corporate
costing office.

DVET Officer
Requirements
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in emissions testing vehicles
- Peace Officer Qualification
- Competent in the operation of Light Obscuration Smoke
Meter – Wager or similar device and conducting testing
according to the Free Acceleration Testing procedure. - Computer Literate
- A valid Driver’s Licence ( and fleet drivers tag preferable)
- A basic understanding of the operation of a diesel vehicle
and exhaust system
Key Performance Areas
- Compile a monthly programme by ensuring efficient and
effective Roadside Emissions Testing - Supervise the setting up of Diesel Vehicle Emission Testing
Sites and performing Diesel Vehicle Emission Testing - Prepare reports of Diesel Vehicle Emission Testing Site
activities and drafting Legal Documentation - Prepare Legal Documentation regarding prosecutions as
prescribed by legislation - Visiting diesel fleet owners to discuss maintenance of fleets
and informing them of Diesel Vehicle Emission Testing
procedures and conducting special projects to test fleet vehicles - Tasks may include occasional afterhours work on a TOIL basis
- Demonstrating Diesel Vehicle Emission Testing procedures
at schools and universities - Performing general office administration.
- Collecting stock from the stores and other driving duties as
required for Specialised Health
SALARY
Basic Salary: R 233 834 p.a
