Job Purpose
To provide a Comprehensive Nursing Service within the framework of Primary Health Care.

Key Responsibility Areas
Weighs and measures clinic attenders.
Cleans and sterilizes equipment and dresses minor wounds.
Prepares emergency and treatment rooms and clients requesting Tubal Ligation surgery.
Performs oral rehydration and diagnostic tests.
Collects delivery of pathological specimen with appropriate documentation.
Contributes in emergency childbirth and obstetrics.
Promotes family planning and health education and implements Tuberculosis programmes.
Ensures clinic flow and an efficient and effective clinic service.
Maintains books and records.
Conducts pre and post HIV counselling.
Keeping abreast with new knowledge and procedure

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
Current enrolment with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse
Auxiliary or Assistant.
