Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all WCED and Department of Education finance requirements.
  • Ensure all filing and administrative tasks are kept up to date.

Karri App – Collection Setup and Management:

  • Set up and manage all collections on the Karri app.
  • Liaise with teachers or the Head of Sport regarding excursions and sporting events.
  • Handle all parent queries and manage communication with Karri as required.
  • Maintain accurate records for accounting purposes.

Payroll – Knowledge of Sage Payroll:

  • Manage payroll effectively, ensuring timeous and accurate payments to staff.

Finance Team and Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Manage and develop a strong finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Work closely with the School Governing Body on financial planning and policy matters.

Requirements (Qualifications, Experience and Skills):

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years ’ experience in financial management, preferably in a school or non- profit environment . Mid to senior level position.
  • Fully computer literate. Google Suite knowledge preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Pastel, Sage, or similar).
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
