Scope of the Job

The main purpose of the role is to provide product knowledge with a commercial mind set to the sales functions to ensure product suitability and optimized performance to support business objectives and targets.

Job Objective:

To be the Sales Engineer Support to Market Africa private importers (complete continent of Africa excluding South Africa and Morocco) in a commercial way.
Working closely with the local sales team and market directors.
Actively participate in customer visits and activities.
Always have updated product offer strategy, optimize product range and specifications to meet market strategy & targets for Market Africa.
To support Product competence development.
Contribute to offer structure and provide product customer adaptation.
To do Competitor analysis.
Product, Market and Transport industry segmentation.
Continuously maintain product offering tools and related systems to be updated from product and sales standpoint.
Secure that correct and adequate product information and relevant product tools are released and distributed to the markets.
Monitor and develop the progress of future demands of the product range, product segmentation, competition, bodybuilders, legal activities.
Actively work with complete customer solutions including complete vehicles, superstructures and advanced transport solutions.
You will ensure effective leadership, coordination and general direction to reflect and promote the company’s mission, vision, aspirations and values.

Qualification & Experience:

National Diploma in Engineering.
Preferred Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Basic understanding of vehicle legislation.
Experience in Volvo Trucks Businesses and Products (Advantageous).
Experience in Volvo Trucks Systems, Tool (Advantageous).
International Experience (Advantageous).

What you will do

The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the sale of parts while effectively liaising with customers.

Reporting: This position reports to the Warehouse Controller.

Job Objective:

Client liaison – Build good relationship between Company and Customer;

Ensure zero customer complaints.
Receive sales order from client.
Timeous processing of parts sales.
Preparation of quotes and invoices.
Quotes, customer orders & invoices are correctly filed at all times.
Ordering urgent orders from central warehouse.
Invoice register up to date at all times.
Distributing backorder parts to relevant customer.
Parts catalogue up to date at all times.
Monitoring delivery and collection of parts to customers.
Monitoring picking of customer invoices.
Follow up on V.O.R orders from customers and give feedback.
Filing of quotes, customer orders and invoices.
Control of invoice register.
Assisting with stock take procedures.
Overtime and Standby.
Updating and maintenance on all Parts Catalogues.
Achieve Sales Targets/ KPIs.

Logistics Team Leader

What you will do

The main purpose of the job is to oversee and coordinate all logistics activities within the assembly plant to ensure the efficient, timely, and accurate flow of materials, components, and finished goods. This role ensures production continuity, optimises warehouse processes, and leads a team of logistics operators to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

Job Objectives:

Material Flow & Production Support

Ensure timely delivery of components to assembly lines according to production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Oversee receiving, storage, picking, and line-feeding activities.
Ensure correct FIFO/FEFO practices are applied at all times.

Warehouse & Yard Management

Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Ensure accurate stock control through cycle counts and reconciliation.
Maintain orderly warehouse layout, ensuring optimal space utilization.
Manage loading/unloading activities and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop a team of logistics operators, drivers, and forklift operators.
Plan daily labour allocation according to operational needs.
Conduct performance reviews, skills assessments, and disciplinary processes were required.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Managing attendance.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure adherence to plant safety standards and legal regulations.
Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Ensure material handling equipment is operated safely and maintained correctly.
Uphold quality standards for component handling, packaging, and delivery.

Systems & Reporting

Use SAP/TM1 systems for stock movements, material requests, and reporting.
Generate daily/weekly logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, picking accuracy, etc.)
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to processes and workflows.
