COMMUNITY SERVICE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER(5 X POSTS)

Job Profile:

• Deliver effective municipal health services in accordance with the National Health Act, 2003
  (Act No 61 of 2003), organisational policies and statutory requirements
• Implement Environmental Health legislation (National, Provincial, Local) including
  interpretation and application thereof
• Assist with the surveillance and control of notifiable communicable diseases, including signs,
  symptoms and how communicable diseases related to Environmental Health can be spread in
  communities
• Assist with theories and principles for Health Promotion
• Implement Project Management Principles
• Aid in food hygiene control and auditing systems such as HACCP
• Assist with interpretation of laboratory results relating to food and water samples

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Environmental Health
• Proof of current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Student
  or Community Service
• Valid Code B driver’s licence
• Excellent communication skills in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape
  Province
• Computer literacy
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and project management skills
• Ability to function effectively in stressful situations

All Inclusive Annual Salary: R75,600.00
