ACCOUNTANT: DEMAND MANAGEMENT

Salary Grade: (T12) R410 689.15 – R533 086.73 p.a. (Plus applicable benefits) • Ref No: BT J 5/5/4/2/1

Job requirements: • A Grade 12 Matric • A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) qualification in Supply Chain Management/Public Finance/ Financial Management or relevant qualification • 3 – 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management Demand • Computer literacy in Microsoft Software packages • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license.

Key performance areas: • Guide the pre-tender and post-tender processes • Verify details, terms and conditions, specifications, etc. comply with laid down Council’s policies, regulations and procedures • Implement MFMA, SCM policies and SCM regulations • Serve on Bid Specification Committee • Assist in compiling of tender documents • Receive bids and proposals and ensures security until time of
opening • Compliance checks on bids and proposals after the tenders are closed • Coordinate and distribute bid/tender documents to bid committees for evaluation • Determine fair and reasonable price or prepare cost/price analysis • Process invoices • Schedule and attend briefings • Monitor the database of service providers and contractors • Assist end user departments in formulating procurement
plan • Continuous monitoring, updating and assess the validity and accuracy of and compliance to the procurement plan • Conduct an industry and market analysis of the goods and services to be obtained • Compile bid/tender register for all bids above R200 000 that will manage the procurement process.

ADMINISTRATOR (DR NDZ)

Salary Grade: (T9) R261 708.81 – R339 704.40 p.a. (Plus applicable benefits) • Ref No: BT J 5/5/4/2/3

Job requirements: • A Grade 12/Matric • A 3 year qualification (NQF Level 6) in Accounting/Financial Management or relevant qualification • 1 – 2 years’ experience in the income section • Knowledge of EVenus System will be an added advantage • Computer literacy in Microsoft Software packages.

Key performance areas: • Maintain accurate and up to date customer details and account records • Identify and recover overdue accounts

  • Manage unreferenced direct deposits • Have a regular consumer contact by phone, fax, and e-mail • Make adjustments, handle queries and resolve problems within Municipality guidelines and policy • Anticipate developments and identify accounts that will require special attention • Handle disputed accounts and negotiates to bring payment into line with payment terms • Undertake complex reconciliations, and compile documents for legal action • Monitor aged debt, collecting outstanding payments and reporting on the debtor’s book at month end • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and internal revenue related policies • Investigate and resolve invoice/payment with
    customers and internal revenue subunits.

SENIOR CLERK (SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT)

Salary Grade: (T6) R170 772.36 – R221 688.63 p.a. (Plus applicable benefits) • Ref No: BT J 5/5/4/2/2

Job requirements: • A Grade 12/Matric • A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) qualification in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management/Accounting/or relevant qualification • 1 – 2 years’ experience in the Supply Chain Management • Computer literacy in Microsoft Software packages.

Key performance areas: • Assist in opening/closing quotations and tenders • Check compliance for all quotations closed • Capture and update vendor information onto the database of the financial system • Attend briefing meetings • Communicate/interact with personnel across various Departments in respect of specific requirements and priorities • Communicate with the Accountant: Demand Supply Chain
on the status of database and invoices • Identify products, materials against requisitions/ work orders • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements regarding compliance of quotations and bids • Check list/process of invoices from user departments • Assist in obtaining market-related prices for goods and services required.

SENIOR PROFESSIONAL NURSE

Salary Grade: (T12) R410 689.15 – R533 086.73 p.a. (Plus applicable benefits) • Ref No: MM N 5/5/4/2/2

Job requirements: • A Grade 12 Matric • A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Health, General Nursing or equivalent • Computer literacy • 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience and a 1 year experience in Primary Health Care will be an added advantage • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license.

Key performance areas: • Conduct research into best practices associated with the functionality and determining the appropriateness of specific HIV/AIDS policies/ procedures for implementation and updating procedure manuals • Monitor the coordination and implementation of Council’s internal workplace policy, programmes and IDP objectives, and external role (Local Government
responsibility) with respect to HIV/AIDS programmes • Collaborate and coordinate meetings with relevant stakeholders in ensuring implementation of the Integrated Multi-Stakeholder Health Promotion & Wellbeing Strategy (IMHPWS) plan across the Districts

  • Leverage Community, Civil Society, and Private Sector Partnerships to improve Service Delivery and Client Outcomes by increasing access to HIV and AIDS, TB and STIs services • Continuous engagement with Civil Society Structure, organisations, departments and other
    key stakeholders and contribute towards capacity strengthening of the Civil Society sectors on HIV and TB issues • Participate in Provincial Council on AIDS, Operation Sukuma Sakhe/DDM and other related meetings, e.g., provincial partners meetings and organise and preside
    over meetings and workshops with external stakeholders • Provide technical support and supervision to Department of Health and the Organizations’ projects in the supported Districts • Initiate and negotiate partnerships and alliances that amplify the impact and reach of
    the organization’s initiatives

CHIEF TECHNICIAN: ELECTRICAL

Salary Grade: (T13) R462 394.10 – R600 186.31 p.a. (Plus applicable benefits) • Ref No: WT F 5/5/4/2/12

Job requirements: • A Grade 12/Matric • A National Diploma/ Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Electrical Engineering • 4 – 5 years’ experience working as an Electrician • Computer literacy in Microsoft Software packages • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license

Key performance areas: • Read and interpret drawings/works orders detailing layout and specifications • Mark routes for the running in and laying of cables and positioning of supporting structures (clips) and providing guidance to personnel on specific activities (e.g. cleaning
and tinning of conductors, binding and strapping, stripping of individual conductors). • Monitor and attend to deviations in the repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment in the plant. • Terminate cables, wires, etc. to junction boxes, connecting blocks and/or terminals
including soldering, fit lugs and harness wires • Conduct tests to diagnose and determine the nature of the fault and communicating with the immediate senior official on the possibility of re-routing supply during major disruption/repair work • Refer to work schedules and registers to
correct deviations in entries raised during processing.

SENIOR PROCESS CONTROLLER

(Kokstad Satellite Franklin)

  • Salary Grade: (T8) R232 438.55 – R301 729.02 p.a. (Plus applicable benefits) • Ref No: WT F 5/5/4/2/13

Job requirements: • A Grade 12/Matric with Physical Science and Mathematics as subjects • NQF Level 4 qualification in Water and Waste Water Treatment or relevant qualification • At least 3 years’ experience in water purification • A National Diploma in Water Care or equivalent will serve as an advantage • DWS Class IV registration or eligible to register as an advantage • A valid motor vehicle driver’s licence.

Key performance areas: • Undertake preventative maintenance on plant equipment as per the prescribed maintenance programme

  • Perform manual operations and process interventions as per the prescribed operating procedures • Accurate record-keeping of plant
    interventions and activities for future reference, including log sheets, incident and shift reports adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
    (Occupational Health & Safety Act) • Strive to minimize the consumption of chemicals and electricity • Undertake the required water
    analysis • Compile and issue relevant reports • Adjust the parameters of the plant in order to achieve the required water quality and
    quantity • Coordinate, control and monitor all operational activities on the plant within a shift period • Verify water quality compliance
    by collecting water samples throughout the purification process, analysing the sample for different parameters using lab instruments, and
    reporting results to the Superintendent • Observe water quality in tanks regularly • Report deviation of water samples to Superintendent
  • Be able to act as Process Controller in the absence of Process Controller • Carry out specific tasks & instructions as directed by the
    Superintendent.
