Requirements:

1. Purpose of Role
-The Engineering Assistant provides a pool of support of multidiscipline engineering, technical skills and is required to support all the Engineering Foreman/Artisan to whom the individual is allocated to perform low complexity high volume work.

2. Work of Role
-General labour support, multi – discipline
-Material and workshop machinery and equipment control
-Use of engineering tools
-Loading, dispatching material and equipment to work sites
-Provides assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within and without the team
-Ensure tool availability
-Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks
-Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility

3. Qualifications
-Grade 12 Maths and Science
-Engineering Assistant Certificate of Competency

4. Experience
-Minimum 2 year’s relevant experience in engineering

5. Knowledge and Skills
-Communication in english (spoken, written and reading)
-Advantageous semi-skilled with various certificate skills engineering
