Lead the Charge as Head Safety and Security at Capitec
Are you ready to lead the charge in ensuring the safety and security of our organisation’s most valuable assets? Capitec is looking to attract our next Head of Safety and Security to develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive security strategy across multiple locations. Your role will be pivotal in building resilient systems and practices to mitigate internal and external threats.
You will be responsible for
Security Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy aligned with Capitec’s objectives and risk profile.
- Stay updated on industry trends to ensure security measures remain current and effective.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the security team, fostering continuous improvement.
Quality Safety, Security, and Risk Management:
- Offer specialized expertise on safety and security matters, ensuring risk awareness and compliance.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation protocols, including communication and reporting systems.
- Support to ensure compliance with OHASA regulations and company policies.
General Leadership and Management of Properties Security Department:
- Establish an effective team structure to deliver departmental goals and targets.
- Lead recruitment, development, and performance management of security team members.
- Foster stakeholder internal and external relationships to enhance security standards across the organisation.
Our ideal candidate
- Qualified in Security/Risk
- Extensive experience in overseeing security across multiple sites and managing crises effectively in a commercial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of security regulations, risk assessment practices, and continuity planning.
- Familiarity with security trends, technologies, and access control systems.
- Proficient in strategic thinking, with strong analytical/decision making ability and experienced negotiation skills.
