OA Engineer – Nashua Pietermaritzburg
Job Purpose
The position is responsible for the service and maintenance of office automation equipment and service calls within Nashua Pietermaritzburg service areas.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the office automation field
- Valid driver license
- A + N+
- Own reliable vehicle
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain equipment in the Nashua Pietermaritzburg service base.
- Ensure that Customer downtime is always kept to a minimum.
- Ensure that Customer Uptime and capabilities is at full potential.
- Ensure that service call is always done and completed cost efficiently.
- Ensure that part, Toner, and other service deliveries reach maximum life expectancy.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance is completed and scheduled as per the requirements.
- Take responsibility for all stock allocated to the technician.
- To follow the correct procedure when receiving a call and when a call is completed within the Workwide system.
- Fully install, MFP, (if required) and supply training to the customer on new Products.
- To ensure that the Service Coordinator is given accurate information relating to service calls and installations.
- To complete all necessary paperwork relating to your job and to ensure that it is presented in a decent manner and on time.
- Must be open and willing to be cross trained over all technical lines of business to promote better productivity and to provide assistance if needed.
- To keep the Technical Manager informed on problems relating to your job, either technical or customer, and to maintain an awareness of the customer’s needs.

- Punctual, honest, hardworking, loyal and dedicated to client service.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team as well as on your own.
- Must be able to work within the framework of deadlines and be able to complete tasks within these time constraints.
Other Assignments:
Prepared to work overtime, attend training sessions over weekends from time to time as well as meetings as and when required.

Field Service Engineer – Nashua Secunda
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose: Installation, Technical support and regular maintenance of all Nashua equipment, MFP’s, PABX, CCTV, Access Control.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications Required:
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 matric
- Must have Field Experience in office automation
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- COMPTIA A+ essential. N+ MTA would be an advantage
- Must be competent to complete connectivity installations (Printing / scan to folder and e-mail)
Duties & Responsibilities
- The repair and preventative maintenance of all machines assigned to the field service engineer via the Work Wide service logging system.
- The correct procedures to be followed when receiving the call, and when logging the call off.
- Tool cases, cleaning materials and vacuum cleaners to be of company standards and policy.
- To have a vehicle, maintained and serviced to enable the service engineer to perform his job.
- Constant communication with service managers when field problems occur, and they are unable to immediately resolve them.
- All service calls to be accurately logged off on Work Wide or via the service controllers telephonically.
- All business kilometres travelled to be logged off on the Work Wide service system and to be documented in a log book and supplied to the relevant line manager for reimbursement.
- Notification to relevant managers if you are sick or cannot report for duties.
- Communication with customer regarding problem reported and informing customer of any parts needed to be replaced.
- The service engineers will be expected to self-study for internet based training and other training as laid down by management.
- To perform any reasonable assignment if and when requested to do so by management.
- Assist all other departments with reasonable queries.

- Fully computer literate
- Excellent telephonic and face to face customer skills
- Presentable
- Self-driven, motivated, innovative, and a team player.
- Valid Driver’s license and own reliable transport is essential.

Working Conditions
- Monday – Friday 07:30 am to 16:30
