Project Engineer
Context & Environment
Activity: management of allocate projects with the external resources such as contractors, suppliers of equipment, consultants and approvals and inspections by the local authorities

Activities
As a Project Engineer, would be responsible for the following:
Depots, Service Stations and Commercial Customer Installations – construction and engineering
- To conduct project feasibility studies for engineering and construction projects; preparing documentation, drawings and recommendation for execution of projects.
- To submit and obtain national and local authorities approvals and prepare and obtain approval for MOC documentation.
- To guide the draughtsman or consultants in preparation of the construction drawings.
- To participate in the negotiation of equipment supply and engineering contracts with the service providers, in collaboration with the purchasing division.
- To plan, organise, control and execute field construction activities, within given time and budget.
- To be responsible for incorporation of local legislation requirements, Group standards and best practices for all engineering and construction projects.
- To effectively monitor and evaluate variations associated with changes in project scope and subsequent cost changes.
- To provide regular updates to Technical Manager regarding the projects and providing explanations on any delay with regards to the projects.
- To ensure proper management of all projects documentation, preparation of monthly expenditure reports, posting of the assets under construction to asset register and control of all legal, municipal and EIA approvals to facilitate legal and safety compliance of all projects.
- Ensures compliance with regulations as well as the safety of people and properties on sites,
- Carries out on day to day basis urgent operations such as the replacement of defective equipment, attending to safety issues, and administration-related requests.
- Checks regularly the assets, especially by the way of a full scope Annual Technical Visit which should be done with the customer representative and develops recommendations and action plans according to Customer strategy,
- Ensures preventive maintenance is carried out as per set schedules,
- Conducts random audits and quality inspections of maintenance work to ensure compliance with standards
- Ensures that the maintenance contracts are implemented in line with the SLA agreements.
- Ensures that contractors adhere to the company HSEQ requirements
- Handle maintenance work that falls outside of the general contracts (i.e. NEMO)
- Anticipates the investments for the replacement of obsolete equipment to increase availability and reduce operational and maintenance costs,
- Carries out the works for safety, risk reduction, and compliance with regulations,
- Advises dealers (clients) on technical and regulatory obligations, estimating the costs to upgrade the equipment and installations for contract renewal
- Manages his/her delegated budget, launches the orders, and validates the payment of invoices according to purchasing rules,
- Maintaining good customer relations internally & externally
- Participates in asset sales, manages to dismantle of sites in relation with the HSEQ department, General Trade and Mining divisions for remediation,
- Updates technical and assets data (Synoptics, drawings, and inventories)
- Analyse audit reports conducted by HSEQ and take corrective action, in conjunction with business owners to close findings,
- Informs and trains the site operators on good utilization of equipment and housekeeping.
- Supports Contracts Manager in Business Performance Reviews
- Manages the AUC process
HSSE
To effectively manage and minimise HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
- Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements.
- Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies.
- That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility.
Candidate Profile
As a Project Engineer you would possess the following:
- Qualification B.Sc. or B.tech – electrical, mechanical civil engineering or relevant experience Minimum years’ experience – 3 to 7 years in the relevant fields
- Experience in project management for engineering from beginning to end
- Technical experience with regards to understanding and applying technical knows how.
- High level of autonomy and problem-solving skills,
- Real capability to manage the workload and efficiency in the work done,
- Proactive and available at any time,
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication,
- Ability to work within a team made of customers, purchasers, and head-office organizations.

Activities
The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for maintaining, developing, leading and supporting a strong environmental, health and safety culture within the project.
- Ensure the personnel onsite have attended the relevant HSE inductions and trainings;
- Ensure the HSE procedures for the specific tasks are kept updated;
- Perform routine and random HSE inspections on a daily basis in order to monitor HSE procedures implementation on site and ensure the follow up of corrective actions;
- Stop & report immediately to his superior any anomaly, violation & unsafe practice;
- Promote a proactive and positive intervention approach to PROJECT team;
- Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / communication on site;
- Attend and participate in daily meetings and Tool Box & Pre-Job Talks;
- Ensure that relevant risk assessments are complied with and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared;
- Advise on safe operative techniques and methodologies for the planning, safety control (i.e. JSA);
- Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with project procedures;
- Inspect on a regular basis subcontractors activities;
- Control compliance of the equipment used on site;
- Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site;
- Ensure that any HSE event is reported in due time;
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis in order to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures;
- Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials;
- Conducts a follow-up of regular formal inspections together with Subcontractors representatives (verification exercises, walkthroughs, specific inspections etc.)
Candidate Profile
Successful candidate must have the following requirement:
- Previous experience in Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Programme (REIPPPP) Project Bidding, Award to Financial Close, Construction and Operations.
- SAMTRAC/ NEBOSH formal training in HSE field.
- Registered with the SACPCM as CHSO
- 4 to 7 years of experience in Managing health, safety and environment for projects
- Experience of PV and BESS projects preferred
- Experience in implementation, maintaining and auditing of the OSHA45001 and ISO14001 Management System
- Familiarity of Industry Standards and relevant industry HSE regulations and requirements.
- Familiarity with behavioural based safety systems, risk analysis / job safe analysis methods, emergency response and crisis management procedures.
- Excellent skills in problem solving, team building, ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution and to execute schedule requirements within a team environment.

LUBRICANTS TECHNICAL MANAGER
Context & Environment

Activities
An incumbent of this role would be responsible for the following:
Strategy
- Continuously update and manage the lubricants product range and services to meet the demands of the local and regional market. This is based on both the TMSA roadmap and continuously changing market conditions.
- Stay abreast of technical developments by attending conferences and exhibitions including relevant SAIT events.
- Plan for future product need in advance both for local production and importation.
- Manage the product life cycle within the lubricants technical team via the UMDS process:
- Trial Blend and labels
- Code creations
- Implementation, SDS
- Closures
- Product and material rationalization and optimization.
- Ensure downstream quality is routinely monitored and advise on deviation and suggested corrective actions.
- Assist with digitalization of lubricants technical processes onto Microsoft Office 365 Environment with the support of local IT.
Lubricant Sales
- Deliver the Lubricants roadmap with regards to product range modifications required, and to implement these changes.
- Assist the sales teams to deliver new products and services to maintain competitive edge.
- To strive to reduce product costs to allow TMSA to be competitive in the market place.
- To ensure that technical services relating to Lubricants are conducted in a professional, accurate and timely manner by team members. These services include, but are not limited to: Product applications/recommendations, product alternatives, site audits, oil analysis interpretation, providing technical support documentation, product launches and product training.
- This service is to be extended to all TotalEnergies employees, customers and prospective customers. Focus is on sales staff, call centre, business support, marketing and LMP.
- To assist our sales team to understand customer needs and to educate on them our product ranges and applications. • Communication on product changes.
HSEQ
- Adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and security standards. (Golden Rule and Near Miss reporting), so as to minimise risks pertaining to company assets and protection of life.
- To ensure raw materials use are within the allowable safety rules of TotalEnergies
- To monitor and alert the global and regional SDS teams of SDS requirements.
- To ensure products meet the required specifications and to implement updates when required.

Candidate Profile
To qualify for this role, the applicant must possess the following
- Appropriate Engineering degree (Chemical or Mechanical Engineer preferred; BEng, BSC or appropriate)
- 3-5 years experience in a technical role within the lubricants or lubrication industry.
- Some sales background would be advantageous
- Experience in application, complaints, product development, oil analysis
- Excellent knowledge of the products and their potential applications in the industry.
Excellent knowledge of TMSA and competitor products
