The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) is the National Medicines
Regulatory Authority established in terms of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 101 of 1965,
as amended, to provide for the monitoring, evaluation, regulation, investigation, inspection,
registration and control of medicines, scheduled substances, clinical trials and medical devices, and
related matters in the public interest.
HANDYMAN
SALARY: R351 991.00 – R373 588.00 PER ANNUM (TOTAL COST TO COMPANY)

REQUIREMENTS: ● Applicants must have a Matric certificate and an appropriate training course at
NQF Level 4 (Four): Facilities Maintenance- Handyman. A valid driver’s licence B/EB code is required.
EXPERIENCE: ● Minimum of three (3) years in a Facilities environment

DUTIES: ● Maintenance and repairs: *Ensure upkeep of the lifts within the HO building and
communicate defects immediately to the landlord. *Report any leaks to management. *Monitor the
air conditioners on all floors. *Changing of locks. *Ensure that all the doors are closed and locked.
*Conduct building inspections and compile the relevant report monthly. *Monitor deep cleaning and
pest control as you compile the relevant report quarterly. *Pick up and deliver furniture. * Assemble
and place furniture as needed. *Pack and unpack boxes as needed. *Fix broken or loose furniture.
*Safely load and unload breakable items.
Manage equipment and material stocks: *Assist in monitoring the facilities management storerooms.
*Ensure that the meeting rooms and board rooms are clean. *Ensuring safekeeping of tools and
equipment. *Conduct cleaning inspections and compile the relevant report weekly. *Ensure that the
water coolers are cleaned and refilled. *Ensure services are done on the water coolers and shredding
machines as and when required. *Make sure that the Facilities storeroom and control room key
register is in good order.
Health and Safety structures: *Inspect the fire extinguishers and ensure that they are in good order
and serviced. * Conduct OHS Inspections monthly and compile the relevant report. *Ensure that the
emergency exits are free of obstacles. *Responsible for refilling sanitisers.
Financial Management: *Participate in cost-saving initiatives.
Governance, Compliance + Risk: *Achieve and maintain process quality. *Adherence with the OHSA
to ensure a safe + healthy working environment. *Ensure adherence to all process quality assurance
requirements.
People Management: *Self-management. *Manage own Performance Management and Individual
Development Plan. *Living the SAHPRA values.
