FLEET CONTROLLER

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • The successful candidate must have Grade 12 with 3-5 years’ experience in a Supervisory /
    Managerial role and knowledge of the long-Distance Transport industry.
  • A Relevant tertiary qualification in the logistic field will be an added advantage.
  • Good, interpersonal, leadership, motivation planning, and communicating (verbal & written)
    skills as well as bilingualism will be essential.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Management of the assets and staff under your control and the meeting of objectives set in the
    budget process. Maximum Utilization of Vehicles, planning of loads, routes, fuel, overnight
    locations etc.
  • Service Level Agreements are met between MacDonald’s Transport and its customers.
  • Assets and staff comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
  • Accident / Incident investigation and submission of all documentation.
  • Ensuring that all equipment / machinery is serviced within the allowed service intervals and
    planned COF’s updated.
  • Maintaining of a high level of discipline, within the operations.
  • Ensuring staff under your control maintain high level of service to customers.
  • Preparation and submission of leave schedules in such a manner as to not effect customer
    requirements.
  • Administrative duties and Document control. Solving of queries and problem solving
  • Management of Drive-Cam as well as Tracking reports.
  • Deadline Driven
  • Submission of Monthly Management reports
  • Must be willing to work Long hours and on Weekend if and when required.

SEMI-SKILLED ARTISAN (TRAILER MECHANIC)

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The successful candidate must have Grade 12, a minimum of 5 years’ relevant diesel technical
experience. Must be a good communicator (verbal & written), with knowledge of the Health & Safety
requirements. The person must have the ability to function independently and in a team. The person
must have experience in maintenance on truck trailers and must have experience in welding. Must be
prepared to work after hours and weekends. Must be able to work under pressure. Valid Code 14
driver’s license.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Time management.
  • Ensure that worksheets are completed correct.
  • Ensure that workshop is neat and tidy.
  • Proactive problem identification of possible truck defects.
  • Maintenance of equipment as and when necessary.

SUPERVISOR: WAREHOUSE

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • The Successful candidate must have 2-5 years’ experience in Warehousing.
  • Candidate must be computer literate, have excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation, and
    planning skills.
  • Has knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Must have Pro-Active Problem-Solving skills.
  • Knowledge of general building maintenance with include electricity, plumbing, painting, and
    building experience.
  • Willing to work after hours and weekends as per operational requirement.
  • Valid EB license.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and despatch of warehoused stock.
  • Oversee the housekeeping of facilities and machinery.
  • Ensure Cargo transfer/receipts are accurately documented as per company policy and
    procedures.
  • Perform scheduled stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Ensure proper product handling is always applied.
  • Ensure sufficient labour control and practices as required by the BCEA and LRA.
  • Oversee the allocated Machinery, Operators and Warehouse Staff.
  • Manage information and elements as well as sufficient reporting.
  • Ensure employee discipline and control w.r.t. company standards and requirements.
  • General requirements as per instruction from Senior Manager.

SENIOR FINANCIAL MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Grade 12.
  • Minimum 5 Years’ Experience in Similar role.
  • Minimum Qualification will be Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Financial
    Management or/and registered Charted Accountant.
  • People management skills (including skills to manage and motivate).
  • Experience in Supervisory/Managerial role.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Good communicator (Verbal & Written).
  • Good computer skills including the ability to operate Excel and Pastel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Adhoc projects as allocated by CFO.

Clerk: Creditors

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Grade 12.
  • 3 – 5 Years Experience in creditors.
  • Friendly and service orientated.
  • Good Analytical and numerical skills
  • Accurate & attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written)
  • Computer Literacy in the Microsoft Package

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Complete new credit apps.
  • Solving of internal and external creditors related queries.
  • Checking and linking of creditors documentation on Accpac.
  • Monthly reconciliation of creditors statements and preparing journals where necessary.
  • Preparation of weekly/interim and monthly payment requests.
  • Ensuring that all documents processed for payments are correctly signed off.
  • Filing of all creditor’s documentation.

Mechanic (Earthmoving machines)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation, and planning skills.
  • Able to work without supervision and maintain time management
  • Willing to travel and work on client site.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring quality control on machines and equipment.
  • Ensure all repairs and duties are performed as needed.
  • Proactive problem identification of equipment & machine defects.
  • Manage information and elements as well as sufficient reporting.
  • Maintain a sound working relationship with clients.
  • Time management.
