Practitioner: Payroll
The Organisation requires the services of a Practitioner: Payroll in the Human Capital Management Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park and Kruger National Park.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and review information on the payroll system to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- Run reports from the payroll systems and compare data after payroll processing for accuracy of information on the system.
- Ensure employees are linked to the correct primary position.
- Liaise with line management to ensure employee information and salaries are completed timeously and accurately.
- Close payroll off on time with 100% correct data and handle all payroll queries.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the payroll officer/clerk by ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Process all payroll input for earnings, deductions, company contributions, and fringe benefits exactly as per instruction document as and when required monthly.
- Run payroll checks and balances the payroll before manager runs the variance report.
- Ensure that payroll deadlines as per the remuneration schedule are met on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate, the extrapolation, controlling, and distribution of variance reports and other reports required by line management.
Import and generate overtime work and other allowances as per payroll instructions submitted.
- Quality assures information captured by HCM clerks and payroll officers.
- Link new employees to ESS and correct leave setup as per payroll instructions.
- Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and compiling a reporting.
- Work closely with the benefits unit to ensure monthly changes are done correctly and each change is accompanied by an instruction document.
- Process employee transfers, promotions within the organisation, and transfer of leave setup and hierarchy setup to the new entity.
- Process all miscellaneous input for deductions for external stakeholders such as garnishees, insurances, and other stakeholders in accordance with policies and procedures including statutory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports for audit purposes and requirements.
- Give input on the review of payroll policies and procedures.
- Investigate, report, and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.
- Assist with the implementation of corrective measures/action plans to address audit findings.
- Stay up to date with any labour or legislative change.
- Take part in training initiatives including subordinates.
- Ensure the contracting and bi-annual review process is completed and signed off.
- Provide continuous guidance and support to subordinates.
- Engage employees on matters relating to payroll and benefits through awareness sessions.
- Respond to queries relating to payroll functions.

There is a Security Guard position available under the Protection Services in Kruger National Park. Reporting to the Security Supervisor.

- Grade 12 Matric plus minimum Grade C, D, and E Security Certificate with a valid PSIRA.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Security Guard.
- Knowledge in using security equipment.
- Must have an understanding of wildlife crime.

Responsibilities
- Secure the park and its infrastructure from any act of emergency or violence and report any act of suspicious observations.
- Monitor the place, and check unnecessary actions.
- Record the names of persons who enter the KNP’s premises in the register.
- Guarding the area assigned to detect evidence of illegal entry and ensure material in the region has not been tampered with.
- Reporting unusual occurrences to the Shift Supervisor or Security Supervisor, Chief Security Officer, or Protection Services Manager
- Conducting access control at all entry/egress points, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles are permitted entry.
- Conducting random searches of vehicles departing or entering the KNP property for illegal taking of things or pilfering.
- Providing physical security at Gates and related functions, including searches, parking, and crowd control.
- Conducting random patrols of all posts and searching each person who enters or exits the park and performing any other duties assigned.
