Accounts Payable Data Steward

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Data Steward to join our Accounts Payable team and be part of the Regional Transactional Services.   This role will be responsible to action invoice quality control and on time payment to suppliers through the adherence and application of efficient accounts payable processes.

PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance three-way matching processes for greater quality and accuracy identifying root causes, and resolving through the application of rules, procedure and policy.
  • Check invoice quality by applying three-way match processes, comparing submissions with source documentation (purchase orders, contracts) and operating within system (e.g., COUPA) protocols.
  • Post correct invoices onto ERP (SAP) system, applying correct procedures and protocols
  • Process accurately invoices (order and/or non-order) for payment by working within designated area of responsibility by following procedures within structured ERP (SAP) environment.
  • Identify problems and / or mismatches via COUPA and compare submissions with source documentation to identify root causes and take corrective action by formulating appropriate course of action.
  • Ensure problem resolution and related courses of action have been taken by monitoring COUPA reports, by taking follow-up action and/or escalating to higher authority.
  • Provide administrative support relating to accurate invoicing and accounts payable by solving routine problems within the P2P value chain.
  • Follow and adhere to procedures for invoice quality checking, and the efficient application of P2P processes within designated area/s of responsibility to meet related financial objectives, delegations of authority and transaction approvals.
  • Adhere to all compliance and other requirements relating to invoice checking and P2P value chain within designated areas/s of responsibility for accurate payments to be made at the right time for delivery of product/service to end-user/s.
  • Responsible to work efficiently and effectively within designated areas/s of responsibility (relating to invoice quality checking and accounts payable function) by adhering to processes and working within control environments in line with financial and systems operating procedures.
  • Engage with stakeholders (finance teams, suppliers) as appropriate to communicate data/information gaps and discrepancies with the view to problem identification and /or resolution.
  • Communicate proactively with suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Business Processes or equivalent

EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role in accounts payable function

Overview:

Glencore is looking for a hosting engineer who can key role of driving automation within a team of highly skilled engineers to deliver IT operational excellence.

The role will suit a hands-on DevOps oriented Infrastructure engineer looking to grow their career by assuming responsibility of key Infrastructure artefacts. The role will report to the Hosting lead and will play an essential part in ensuring that the current Infrastructure landscape is operating at the correct levels following DevOps best practises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and collaborator, have high attention to detail and a pragmatic and “can-do” attitude. Experience in working with Agile technologies and will have good knowledge of scripting methodologies and techniques.

  • Design, launch, and maintain a secure, scalable, and robust Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform for automated setup and Ansible for managing configurations. Supervise source code management, coordinate CI/CD workflows with GitHub and GitHub Actions, and handle application hosting and containerization with Docker or equivalent tools in partnership with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Additionally, leverage Helm charts for managing releases of the applications on the AKS.
  • Utilize release management tools such as Octopus Deploy or similar, contribute technical insights to infrastructure project proposals, and develop standardized patterns or blueprints for secure design, scripted deployment, and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide support to operations infrastructure teams, facilitate knowledge transfer, assist in problem resolution, and maintain detailed documentation of cloud procedures and artifacts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, which are essential for automation and scripting tasks. Have experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments, such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or third-party solutions like Elastic Search.
  • Familiar with various cloud connectivity models such as Public, Private, and Hybrid. Possess understanding of networking principles in a cloud setting, including elements like VNETs, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, Virtual Appliance and ExpressRoute. Have knowledge of strategies for disaster recovery and high availability in the cloud environment
  • Understand and implement security measures in the cloud, including managing access controls, implementing encryption, and understanding compliance requirements. Possess the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and have experience with cost management and optimization in the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and development teams to ensure that solutions are in line with best practices and the architectural target state. Promote the adoption of engineering best practices and optimize the software development lifecycle.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)

Work Experience:

  • Experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
  • Understanding of the Well-Architected Framework and Landing Zone principles, and possesses at least three years of experience in provisioning, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure in Azure.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Possesses substantial knowledge and experience in managing cloud infrastructure, which includes elements such as servers, storage, networking, applications, and PaaS offerings like Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Web Apps, App Services, Private Links, Private endpoints, and container orchestration tools.

HR Manager – Employee Relations, Transformation & Assurance

The incumbent in this role is responsible for providing support in the areas of Employee Relations, Wellness, Assurance and Transformation, including any relevant projects. They  take the lead in the understanding, providing guidance and helping operations prepare for HR assurance activities undertaken by Glencore Group HR as well as well as external audits and reviews by regulators. The incumbent is further responsible for all HR related investigations received from the Glencore Raising Concerns Program, the Life EHS harassment and bullying program and any HR-related reports received from Whistleblowing contacts across Glencore Coal SA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews the key deliverables for the year in area of responsibility and works with the Group HR Manager and other relevant stakeholders to put plans in place and measure implementation progress of the plan.
  • Assists in identifying training needs across all operations as they relate to Employee Relations, Employee Wellness and Transformation and other HR Processes and coordinates the sourcing of internal and external and/or maintaining relationships with service providers.
  • Leads assurance against internal Glencore HR Standards and external regulatory audits and assists the Complexes to prepare for such assurance processes and audits and takes the lead in putting action plans together to close gaps where identified.

  • Drives initiatives and actions plans related to the Culture Transformation as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including all relevant communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as an HR Generalist, 2 of which must be at a D-Lower level.

X2 Accounts Payable Steward – GRNI Cleanup Specialist – (6 Months FTC)

Transactional Services are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Steward to join our team. This role will primarily focus on the GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) cleanup specifically related to purchases prior to the system change (COUPA implementation). The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounts payable processes.

PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • GRNI Reconciliation: Review and clean up GRNI balances by investigating discrepancies between goods received and invoices recorded in the system.
  • Communication: Liaise with vendors and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies, ensure timely invoicing, and match goods receipts to corresponding invoices.
  • Accounts Payable Processing: Send invoices to the processing team, ensuring they are correctly matched to purchase orders and goods receipts.
  • Investigating and Resolving Discrepancies: Identify and resolve issues related to GRNI transactions, including unprocessed invoices, under/over deliveries, and duplicate entries.
  • Reporting: Provide regular GRNI aging reports and other related metrics to management, highlighting potential risks and issues that may require escalation.
  • Month-End: Assist with monthly closing process, ensuring that GRNI accounts are cleared appropriately.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure that all GRNI activities are in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Finance or Accounting (e.g. AAT qualification or similar)

Against a restated 2019 baseline, we are targeting to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 industrial emissions by 15% by the end of 2026, 25% by the end of 2030, 50% by the end of 2035 and we have an ambition to achieve net zero industrial emissions by the end of 2050, subject to a supportive policy environment.
