Join Our Team as a Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Exxaro. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and execute strategic logistical plans that optimize the flow of commodities to our diverse customer base, ensuring maximum product evacuation across all routes to market.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations, managing the safe and efficient movement of goods via road and rail, and delivering exceptional, compliant service to our clients and stakeholders. You will identify key opportunities for process improvements, implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall service delivery.

As a leader, you will guide the Logistics Operations teams to execute Exxaro’s strategic objectives, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, ownership, and accountability. You will be pivotal in driving the company’s growth and revenue ambitions while ensuring that operational excellence remains at the forefront of every action taken.

Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

BCom (Hons) Logistics (Essential/Minimum or)
BCom (Hons) Relevant (Essential/Minimum)
Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)

EXPERIENCE:

8-10 years Relevant Marketing, Operational and Commercial Logistics experience. Sound understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety and the Mine Health and Safety Acts and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex problems in a dynamic environment. (Essential/Minimum) Management

REQUIREMENTS:

Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
MHS Act Regulation 2.9.2 (Recommended/Desirable)
OHS Act: Regulation 16(2) (Recommended/Desirable)
Duties & Responsibilities
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

Develop and execute logistical strategies and plans to integrate and optimise the flow of commodities to various customers
To ensure that Exxaro executes the maximum product evacuation through all routes to market.
To oversee and manage the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement by road or of trains and cargo across the rail network, providing exceptional, compliant service to our clients and stakeholders.
To identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
To lead the Logistics Operations teams towards the successful delivery of its strategy, creating an environment conducive to delivering Exxaro’s growth and revenue ambitions while fostering a culture of safety, compliance, ownership, and accountability.

Join Our Team as a Specialist, Community Development

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as a Community Development Manager. In this key role, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, developing, planning, managing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the Business Unit’s Local Economic Development (LED), Social and Economic Development, and Economic Development projects. You will ensure these initiatives align with Company processes and meet all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Your expertise will be crucial in managing the resolution of internal and external audit findings related to community development. Additionally, you will oversee relationships with service providers, ensuring that all community development projects are effectively executed.

A significant part of this role involves supporting, participating in, and managing stakeholder engagement efforts, ensuring positive collaboration and the successful delivery of community-focused projects.

Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Social Science (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate in Stakeholder Management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate Project Management (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years Relevant experience in community development including practical/hands- on project development, management and implementation, budget management and stakeholder engagement. Business development/ enterprise development experience. (Essential/Minimum) Operational

  • To manage community development service providers.
  • To support, participate in and manage stakeholder engagement related to the Business Unit’s Local Economic Development/Social and Economic Development/Economic Development community projects.
