Angular Web Engineer – senior (UK Offshore Tech – Private Client Tech)

Description
We are seeking an experienced Angular Web Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications using Angular and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Angular development and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable web applications.


Experience, skill and capability
•    Develop and maintain our web applications using Angular and related technologies.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement and maintain features.
•    Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
•    Ensure high performance and availability of web applications.
•    Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
•    Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Angular development.

Requirements:
•    At least 7 years of experience developing web applications of which at least 3 years using Angular for development
•    Experience in creating professionally designed web applications from Figma and working with UI & UX designers
•    Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
•    Deep knowledge of Angular (18+), TypeScript, and related technologies
•    Experience with Nx, NGXS, RxJS
•    Experience with Angular JS and SASS
•    Good eye for styling and creating pixel-perfect components
•    Knowledge of RESTful web services and API design
•    Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
•    Experience with Agile development methodologies
•    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills
•    Testing using Cypress and Jest or similar tools
•    Strong understanding of version control (Git)


Nice to have: 
•    Experience with other front-end frameworks such as React or Vue
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
•    Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js or .NET
•    Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Compliance Officer- Monitoring

Description

Compliance Officer within PB, responsible for a range of activities including planning and execution of compliance monitoring reviews as per the approved monitoring plan.The PB Compliance team is looking for an experienced regulatory monitoring specialist to drive the development, planning, execution and reporting of PB’s compliance monitoring programme. The ideal candidate should understand the relevant pieces of legislation, combined assurance principles, and experience with automated control techniques will be an added advantage. The role requires a self-managed professional who thrives in working independently and collaboratively within a team. The Monitoring Compliance offer is expected to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and contribute towards embedding the compliance culture within PB.  The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, excellent report writing skills, manages their time well and a confident communicator

Experience, skills and capability

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leads the preparation of the Monitoring Plan.
  • Execute on the monitoring plan in line with the risk management plans to assess compliance against business process and controls.
  • Key focus on AML/CFT and Sanctions, NCA, POPIA/GDPR, Conduct (incl. FAIS), Conflicts of Interest, etc.
  • Maintain a proper record of monitoring activities and outcomes in the Group Risk Compliance (GRC) system
  • Provide feedback and challenge the risks and controls identified in the Risk Management Programme
  • Develop and implement strategy for continuous and/or automated monitoring
  • Engage with various stakeholders on monitoring findings and remedial plans
  • Providing advice relating to monitoring where relevant.
  • Keeping abreast of new legislation and other industry requirements.
  • Monitor internal team governance and adherence to relevant monitoring and compliance standards
  • Develop reports to identify trends and gaps and presenting these to the Community and Leadership.

Technical competencies:

  • Relevant qualification.
  • Computer and tech skills; and ability to learn new systems and monitoring tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Monitoring experience a key advantage
  • Knowledge of Bankinglegislation and principles, e.g. AML/CFT and Sanctions, NCA, POPIA/GDPR, Conduct (incl. FAIS, ), Conflicts of Interest, etc.

Fullstack Software Engineer (W&I)

Description

Investec Sandton is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Fullstack Software Engineer/Developer to build and maintain applications within the Microsoft technology stack environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in C#, .NET, and JavaScript, React/Angular development, with a keen interest in cloud-based solutions, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Experience, skills and capability

•    Independent and original thinking will be required while solving complex issues, particularly as multiple systems, clients, and technologies are involved.
•    Develop, test, and maintain web applications using C# for back-end services, and React/Angular for front-end development. 
•    Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality and third-party integrations. Utilize Azure cloud services to build, deploy, and manage scalable applications.
•    Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software that meets business and regulatory requirements. 
•    Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
•    Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices. 
•    Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality. 
•    Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the full stack. 
•    Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in technology.

Qualification and Experience

•    At least 5+ years in software development experience.
•    Experience using C# and .NET Core.
•    Experience using SQL server and Entity Framework Core.
•    Experience using Git.
•    Experience with Azure.
•    Integration frameworks & techniques, Web frameworks e.g. Angular/React will be beneficial.
•    OO Principles, Design patterns: SOLID MVC, TDD, DDD, CQRS.

Information Security Architect (Info Sec) 

Description 

The Information Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the overall security architecture of the organization. This includes defining security requirements, conducting security assessments, developing security policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Information Security Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, provide guidance on security best practices, and drive continuous improvement in the organization’s security posture. 

Responsibilities 

Develop and maintain the organization’s information security architecture, including the design and implementation of security controls, technologies, and processes for Internal, SaaS, Third Party and Cloud. 

Conduct security assessments to both internal and 3rd parties to identify and prioritize security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. 

Define and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into the design and development of new systems, applications, and infrastructure (including but not limited to DevOps) 

Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams and business units on security-related matters, including secure coding practices, network security, and data protection. 

Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and recommend appropriate security solutions and technologies. 

Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of third-party systems and services. 

Develop and maintain the organization’s cloud security architecture, including the design and implementation of security controls, technologies, and processes for cloud-based systems and services. 

Experience, skill and capability 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field advantageous.  

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or Azure Certified Security – Specialty are highly desirable. 

Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect or a similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud-based systems and services. 

In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, frameworks, and best practices, such as the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Cloud Controls Matrix 

Experience with cloud security technologies and tools, such as cloud access security brokers (CASBs), cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools, and cloud workload protection platforms (CWPPs). 

Strong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud deployment models (public, private, hybrid). 

Familiarity with cloud security compliance requirements and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27017. 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies. 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
