PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • The Protection Services Superintendent will manage, plan, co-ordinate and maintain the physical security of the operation, ensuring security systems are maintained to its full capacity thus eliminating security risks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Security Risk Management or Police Management.
  • Firearm competency with valid drivers licence.
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years SAPS experience in investigations, court evidence, specialised investigations or security experience in the mining / refining industry, CCTV, Systems Control Room and armed escorts.
  • Sound knowledge of legal aspects i.e. Criminal Procedure Act, the Constitution, Labour legislation and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Knowledge of the mining industry including the Minerals Act, Mines and Works Act as well as Explosives Act.
  • Knowledge of the Precious Metals- and Firearm Control Act.
  • Knowledge of investigation techniques, security systems, fingerprint techniques and security principles.
  • Ability in presenting evidence in court, with sound problem solving- decision making- and conflict handling skills.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal-, communication- and report writing skills
  • Participative leadership style, with the ability to build trust, foster relationships, embrace diversity and value differences in people and cultures.
  • Medically fit for BMR and PMR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all security systems i.e. CCTV, tracking systems, access control, goods x-ray, low dose body scanners, alarm system etc are properly maintained.
  • Ensure all assets are protected and monitored to prevent theft, damage, misuse or loss to the company.
  • Monitor security resources and manpower provided by the security contractor.
  • Monitor the conveyance of valuable cargo (precious and base metals) between the different responsibilities
  • Ensure proper budget control and prepare capital and renewal applications for procurement committee.
  • Train, support and manage performance of subordinates and contracting personnel.
  • Promote security awareness to employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure all are well equipped regarding security threats, crime trends, policies and procedures.
  • Manage stakeholder engagements and attend standing committees, i.e. Chamber of Mines, other platinum producers and SAPS.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, quality-, safety and security audits.
  • Stay abreast of new security technology- and systems.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • The Legal Administrator will provide assistance to the legal team and administer minerals assets and agreements to ensure security of tenure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant NQF level 6 qualification i.e Paralegal / Conveyancing / Computer Systems Administration / BBibl essential
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years administration, system administration, mining property, conveyancing and / or legal environment experience required.
  • Minimum of 18 months system proficiency in Landfolio or similar.
  • Sound knowledge and utilisation of various systems i.e. Landfolio, MS Office, Windeed or similar, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Sabinet or similar, One Drive / Dropbox and Sharepoint.
  • Basic knowledge of legislative environment with a keep interest to develop within the mining related legislative environment, focusing on administration, system administration, including document management.
  • Strong administrative / systems administration / documents management skills.

  • Must be a self-motivated, goal orientated team player with good communication skills and business acumen.
  • Must be a quick learner, a system-orientated individual with an eagerness to advance career in legal administration- and systems within the mining industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • WinDeed alert management, searches and distribution for various departments i.e Legal, Housing, IRS, Internal Audit, Procurement, Surveying etc.
  • Administer requests of 2nd mortgage bonds and liaise with internal housing departments and external attorneys.
  • Assistance with Legal Storeroom project & Legal Storeroom digitalization.
  • Monitor, identify and distribute competing third party applications / claims and I & AP registrations and liaise with service providers.
  • Monitor, identify and distribute land claims over mining and surface areas of Implats SA-managed entities.
  • Assist with Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA) and other relevant applications and compliance obligations, submission of reports, payment of fees, import and export permits, submission of MPRDA applications in hard copy and/or on required Portal
  • Administer Landfolio system i.e. monitoring, follow up, updating, uploading documents, capturing assets & agreements and system updates.
  • Surface Rights and Erven administration, including systems updates and liaison with attorneys and internal departments.
  • Conduct and distribute Sabinet searches i.e. Laws, Regulations, Government Gazettes, Provincial Gazettes, Bills
  • Assist with due diligence, audits, data rooms, management requests, trademarks and ad hoc requests
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests (Implats Group), as well as DMRE and other regulatory body audits.
  • Assist, upload and extract Legal Department documents via Sharepoint.
  • Filing, compilation and distribution of documents: hard copy and/or electronic.
