Job Purpose

Key Responsibility Areas
- Researches and develops strategic and short to medium term plans for the Organisation Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement Directorate and advises various Departments.
- Directs and controls the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel within the Directorate.
- Investigates and provides recommendations to various Directorates with regard to policy reviews, formulation of procedure manuals and systems and administrative controls.
- Advises various Directorates and Departments on systems and best practices.
- Implements communication strategies aimed at creating awareness and/ or seeking acknowledgment.
- Manages the conducting of research on behalf of the Municipality.
- Manages customer service improvement initiatives for the Municipality thereby promoting service delivery and leads the development of service level standards and ensuring compliance thereof.

Job Purpose

Installs overhead cables, maintains pulleys and bearings and ensures that job cards, time sheets and vehicle trip sheets are completed.
Repairs hydraulic systems on vehicles and tests vehicles.
Undertakes other repairs and maintenance work applicable to the trade of diesel / plant / petrol mechanic e.g. roadside repairs and liaises with workshop superintendent and suppliers for required spares.
