Main objectives of the position
Under the direct supervision of the Business Analysis & Planning Manager, the incumbent will execute the financial planning needs of MUMI through a deep understanding of the drivers of value and cost in all areas of the business, Flexible and sophisticated modelling of scenarios, Engagement across the business (operational and administrative) for accurate inputs, and Critical review of inputs received from stakeholders including technical and planning teams.
Minimum qualification

- 8 years of professional experience (3-5 years post articles).
- Experience in accounting and consolidation is essential.
- Experience in financial planning in the mining sector is an asset.

- Possess a university degree in the field of learning and development or related fields such as psychology and human resource management or a similar field

Main objectives of the position
Under the direct supervision of the Manager – Metallurgy Technical Services, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for the optimization of metallurgical processes, and the management of teams and equipment. He/sh will work collaboratively with the operations team to guide decision-making, evaluate metallurgical performance, and ensure operational efficiencies to safely achieve business objectives.
Minimum qualification
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mineral processing and copper and cobalt hydrometallurgy.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Operations Partner to be part of a Global HR and Payroll Services team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The HR Hub supports the HR administration for multiple Glencore offices globally.
We are embarking on a huge change to the enhance the way we deliver HR and Payroll Services to our network of global marketing and corporate offices. These offices that vary in size and host our corporate and marketing employees who do the front, middle and back-office roles that support all marketing and corporate functions at Glencore. The HR Hub is based on a shared services model. The HR Hub provides a portfolio of services including Payroll Operations, and HR Services. The Payroll Operations Partner will work regionally delivering the payroll operations to a cluster of locations in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Primary Task & Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll regulatory oversight, with guidance from Regional Leads, HR Hub Lead and payroll services provider
- Within the global payroll operating model, responsible for multiple payrolls operationally, which includes:
- Ensure that all relevant payroll related input is loaded to the outsourced service provider’ portal
- Monitoring integration performance (payroll data from Workday to payroll services provider)
- Adherence to the payroll processing calendar, e.g. ensure input deadlines met
- Validates payroll output, i.e. processing output from payroll services provider
- Responds to queries on payroll input
- Checks and approves final payroll, reporting controls
- End of pay cycle requirements, including:
- Monitoring integration performance (GL to SAP and pay-slips to Workday)
- Forecasts funding requirements and responding to Accounting / Finance queries
- Monthly reports, quarterly and annual reports, as may be required
- Benefits regulatory oversight and implementation of mandatory occupational benefits,
- Benefit enrolment and management, in so far as is relevant for accurate payroll processing,
- Manage deductions and payments to various third parties, where applicable
- Participates in Workday enhancement for the employee experience and for payroll operational efficiency
- Maintains local Standard Operating Procedures for countries in scope (adopting and championing Global Operating Model)

Qualifications:

Work Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of Workday / SAP SuccessFactors compensation, benefits and integrations is beneficial
- Experience of working with an outsourced payroll vendor is beneficial
- Experience of working with different international payrolls may be beneficial, e.g. UK, China and Mexico, Chile etc
- Ability to communicate in other languages, specifically Mandarin or Spanish may be beneficial.

Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MUMI S.A.R.L is an open-pit mining site used for the extraction of copper and cobalt ores. Mutanda Mining has a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid manufacturing plant.

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager -Processing, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the management and coordination of the maintenance and critical project activities of a business unit to ensure optimal availability at the lowest cost, in accordance with safety, legislative and operational requirements and objectives.
Minimum qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or similar field
- Master of Business Administration would be an advantage.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 10 (ten) years of relevant work experience in the mining industry, including a minimum of 2 years as a field engineer, 3 years of experience in engineering management.

Rotable Stores Superintendent
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the rotable processes and functions within the Rotable Department in line with the Glencore Values and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities
- Expediting of equipment and controlling of Beyond Economical Repairs (BER) processes and ensuring that the rotable, systems and all related activities are efficiently coordinated.
- Monitoring inventory and stock levels, identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects.
- Providing input into the budget to ensure the availability of adequate resources to deliver on the strategy and action plan.
- Monitoring processes and System Control Compliance and ensuring that rotable equipment comply with the Company’s requirements in terms of OEM standards.
- Ensuring corporate governance compliance in area of responsibility and adherence to company policies, procedures and standards, including preparing for audits.
- Managing the salvage yard operations and auction processes.
Minimum Qualifications and experience
- N6 or equivalent qualification, valid Trade Certificate and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Supervisor/Rotable Controller; OR
A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) and completion of the Graduate Development Programme.
- SAP PM module and Vendor management experience
- Inventory Management experience will be advantageous
