Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
As the Academic Programme Convener, you will be primarily responsible for the following:
Accountability areas – operating / financial results accountable for:
Accountable for the operational delivery of lecturing related to Information Systems and Computing programmes and offerings (lecturer performance) at the allocated campus
Accountable for the performance of the community of practice and alignment with development hub
Operational process outputs:
Qualification related subject matter expertise
Lecturing responsibilities (at least one module per block, which may go up to 75% of total workload allocation)
Management:
Budgets
Input into academic budget
ICA claims processing
Operational planning e.g., programme implementation planning and training (per mode of delivery) incl. sequence, prerequisites, etc. (academic planner)
Monitoring, control, corrective action
Reporting – regular feedback as per program manager requirements and Head of Programmes
Escalations / Decisions / Problem solving – 1st point of contact for student complaints
Resourcing and capacity management (people; equipment)
Leadership:
Assistance with talent acquisition, selection and onboarding
