Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise architecture and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Flight Data Controller

Key Performance Output

The successful candidate, reporting to the Manager Airfield Services will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure effective and compliant contract management and that work is executed in accordance with contract (time frame, SLA, Scope, quality, budget, contractors).

Key Performance Output

  • Ensure effective and compliant contract management and that work is executed in accordance with contract (time frame, SLA, Scope, quality, budget, contractors). 
  • Offer technical support to maintenance engineering on contract management.
  • Perform quality inspection on work done and implement/propose remedial action where necessary. 
  • Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
  • Assist with preparing and specifying scope of work and technical requirements.
  • Develop Project Charter describing the high-level business problem to be addressed, the project requirements, purpose of the project, the way the project will be structured as well as key success factors for implementation
  • Conduct an assessment on project pre-feasibility, strategic value and importance and related risk analysis as an input into project prioritization
  • Develop detailed project requirements and prepare business case which accurately outlines and addresses expected benefits, costs, payback period and cash flow considerations
  • Mobilise project team, develop a Work Breakdown Structure and request a provisional team schedule from the PMO
  • Establish performance criteria, key performance areas and manage project scope on an ongoing basis
  • Manage the development of a solution design and perform the appropriate level of engineering design where required
  • Manage the development of a detailed project plan by consolidating the project requirements, considering costs and expenditures and expected timescales

Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Programme Manager and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
•    Assist project and programme manager/Engineer in preparing all necessary documentation required in establishing project pre-feasibility, determining project requirements and detailed plans, implementing and closing a project.
•    Assist in preparing project plans, works plans and business cases
•    Accountable for delivery of specific project work streams and project deliverables
•    Monitor, evaluate and report on ongoing project performance progress and achievements, including ensuing that project remains within budget
•    Input into developing a solution design and performing the appropriate level of engineering design where required
•    Conduct continuous updates to project plan whilst communicating all necessary changes to project manager as well as relevant parties and stakeholders
•    Monitor and control project work including scope and cost control, review of team deliverables, quality control with assistance from PMO and resource management
•    Assist project manager in risk identification, management and mitigation relating to project or project work stream
•    Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with relevant stakeholders, consultants and contractors as well as programme managers
•    Ensure timely reporting and effective communication to project and programme manager and other senior management when required

•    Bachelor’s Degree (3 years – 360 credits) NQF Level 7 in Built Environment disciplines is essential. 
•    Registration with the South African Council for Construction and Project Management Professions (SACPCMP) is advantageous
