Description
The Field Production Co-ordinator is responsible for the logistical planning, execution, and support of all television news field operations. The role ensures that crews and talent are properly resourced, field broadcasts run smoothly, and high-quality, accurate, and timely coverage is delivered, while maintaining compliance, safety, and effective stakeholder coordination.
Planning & Logistics
Coordinate field production schedules for Anchors, Reporters, Producers, and camera crews.
Arrange and confirm transport, accommodation, permits, and access requirements for field assignments.
Ensure that all necessary production and technical equipment is available, functional, and delivered on time to field teams.
Liaise with editorial teams to align coverage priorities with operational capabilities.
Responsible for all catering requirements during big Outside Broadcasts
Liaise with event organisers to secure venues, times, and dates.
Conduct site inspections and assess the suitability of venues for broadcast requirements.
Draft a detailed and clear broadcast plan to guide the various production teams.
Communicate permissions and requirements with event organisers.
Field Operations Support
Act as the primary contact between newsroom, field crews, and technical teams during assignments.
Monitor field deployments to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
Troubleshoot logistical or technical issues as they arise in the field.
Facilitate real-time communication between field teams and the studio.
Administration & Compliance
Track broadcast budgets, costs, and resource allocation for field operations.
Maintain accurate records of crew deployments, equipment usage, and incident reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, broadcasting regulations, and legal requirements (e.g., permits, contracts).
Broadcast Liaison
Maintain strong coordination with the Broadcast Manager, Tech Crews and Logistics.
Communicate permissions and requirements with event organisers.
Brief all stakeholders including camera crew, reporters, and guests.
Support field crews with day-to-day needs to maximize efficiency.
Brief teams before deployment and debrief after assignments.
Building, supporting and maintaining interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
Conduct risk assessments for field assignments.
Ensure crew safety, including adherence to health and safety guidelines, especially in high-risk zones.
Arrange medical support, insurance, and emergency contacts when required.
Technical & Production Support
Operate and advise on use of SNG vans, LiveU, eLink and other broadcasting tools as needed.
Support technical setup for live links (e.g., OB units, satellite, mobile journalism kits).
Troubleshoot on-site production issues in real-time.

Higher Certificate in Media and/or Journalism and/or Communications and/or TV Production and/or a related field – Essential
Diploma in Media and/or Journalism and/or Communications and/or TV Production and/or a related field – Recommended
Bachelor Honours Degree in Media and/or Journalism and/or Communications and/or TV Production and/or a related field – Recommended

The Web Producer is responsible for producing, curating, editing, and publishing digital news and current affairs content on eNCA’s first party platforms. The incumbent will also provide support and input into the digital content calendar, furthermore, providing content for third party platforms.
Content and Editing
Producing web and app content daily, weekly, and monthly as per digital content calendar at the direction of the Digital News Editor
Produce content in line with content style, for example, write an article, use mixed media with video, images, and graphics to achieve the highest impact with a story on web and app.
Contribute to the daily diary with content type, style, and stories.

Evaluate, proofread, and edit, web and app content submitted by internal and external stakeholders.
