About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to partner with our Africa region operations and Group Functions to strengthen risk management across the business. In this role, you will help identify and assess key risks, ensure effective controls are in place, and support the organisation in making informed decisions that protect value and enable long-term success. You’ll work across a wide variety of mining-related risk areas—operational, financial, strategic and sustainability—while engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to engage credibly across the full spectrum of mining-related risks (operational, financial, strategic, sustainability) and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Advanced knowledge and practical application of risk management processes and techniques.
  • Significant experience operating within the African context, with an understanding of national, regional, and cultural differences and their impact on risk and decision-making.

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking finance leader to shape how the organisation turns data into decisions—and decisions into measurable value. Key Responsibilities

JOB TITLE       : Manager – Finance Systems Projects (18 Months Fixed Term)

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking a well experienced Manager – Finance Systems Projects to lead the SAP ECC FI/CO workstream, focused on Integrating a recently acquired subsidiary, and enabling dual-ledger reporting (IFRS & US GAAP).  This role acts as the SAP FI/CO project lead and super user, driving design, data migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare while collaborating closely with Digital Technology (DT), Controllership, and regional finance teams.

WORK ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Project Leadership & Governance : Lead the SAP FI/CO integration workstream, define scope and milestones, manage RAID logs, and run governance forums to track progress and risks.
  • System Design & Configuration : Design and configure SAP ECC modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO), ensuring alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting standards.
  • Data Migration & Testing : Oversee data mapping, mock conversions, reconciliations, and sign-offs. Lead SIT/UAT test planning, defect management, and user sign-off.
  • Cutover, Hypercare & Dual-Ledger Enablement : Coordinate cutover readiness and execution, stabilise post go-live performance, and enable IFRS/US GAAP dual-ledger functionality.
  • Controls, Compliance & Change Management : Embed SOX-aligned controls, documentation, and change management practices; ensure audit traceability and design integrity.
  • Training & Stakeholder Engagement : Develop training materials, lead user training, and manage relationships with DT, Controllership, regional finance teams, and external vendors.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Experience  

  • 10+ years SAP FI/CO experience, including at least two full ECC implementations
  • Proven track record in M&A integrations and dual-ledger (IFRS/US GAAP) reporting
  • Strong background in data migration, testing leadership, and cutover/hypercare

ABOUT THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in project controls, capital project governance, and best-practice project management within the mining or process industries to the role.

WORK ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Lead and support project teams by ensuring objectives, priorities, scope (WBS), estimates, schedules, and deadlines are clearly understood and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, review and maintain project controls including controls plans, information management plans, integrated scope-cost-schedule alignment, and governance of policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, and templates.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project services delivering projects within mining or extractive industries.
  • Proven capability in scheduling, estimating, cost control, document control, and project information management.
  • Experience managing in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project environments across multiple regions.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Objective of the role

To support the Commodity Manager by providing information, analysis, and documentation to enable effective negotiation processes with vendors and strengthen internal stakeholder engagement.

Role Accountabilities

  • Support the Commodity Manager in contract negotiation, planning, and administration across the full contract lifecycle.
  • Manage contracts to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of sourcing outcomes.
  • Maintain and enforce SOX compliance controls throughout procurement and contract management activities.
  • Conduct supplier analysis, performance reviews, and capability assessments to support sourcing decisions.

Education & Qualification

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar field
  • Commercial expertise in software, hardware, and technical services
    • RFP/RFQ/RFI management, contract negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and financial analysis, with a focus on compliance, communication, and problem-solving.

JOB TITLE       : Superintendent Category Management – Goods

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Superintendent Category Management provides direct output support to the Manager, Contracts and Procurement  through the establishment and maintenance of effective category strategies and contracts. The categories shall be identified and agreed to deliver corporate strategy and lowest total cost.

WORK ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Manage and support Regional Category Specialists in developing and executing category strategies, tracking savings and maintaining accurate registers.
  • Lead strategic sourcing activities, including RFQ/RFP execution, cost modelling (TCO/should-cost), vendor/category summaries and monthly savings reporting.
  • Develop, draft and manage contracts, variations and supplier performance scorecards, ensuring robust contract review and audit processes.
  • Collaborate with Global Category Managers/Specialists to align on standardised tools, procedures and best practices for globally and regionally managed categories.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory and site-specific policies, procedures and governance requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence through disciplined leadership, KPI delivery, performance reviews and continuous improvement.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • 5–7 years’ experience in a senior contracts officer or category specialist role, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and ARIBA, along with solid experience in category management, contract management, sourcing, and end-to-end procurement practices.
  • Demonstrated capability in influencing, negotiating, and managing commercial matters, including a strong understanding of contractual agreements and business environments.
  • Advanced understanding of Incoterms, import processes, spend analysis, financial analysis, and exposure to mining industry operations and supply chain dynamics.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and presentation skills, supported by excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to prepare Scopes of Work and contracts.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with MS Project experience considered an advantage.

We are looking to appoint a strong Snr Specialist Financial Systems who will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, governance, and optimisation of the Group financial systems. This role combines leadership of SAP FICO master data and HFM consolidation systems to deliver accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting. It balances business-as-usual administration with strategic transformation initiatives, driving standardisation, automation, and integration across SAP, HFM, EPMWare, Workiva, and related platforms.

WORK ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems & Master Data Governance: Manage and maintain SAP financial structures (Chart of Accounts, cost centres, GLs) and metadata across SAP, HFM, TM1, EPMWare, and Workiva.
    Administer HFM environments, ensuring data integrity, access control, and compliance with SOX and governance standards.
  • Financial Close & Consolidation: Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, consolidations, and reconciliations in HFM, delivering accurate and timely financial results and executive reports.
  • Transformation & Projects: Drive key finance transformation initiatives including US GAAP ledger enablement, CoA harmonisation, system integrations, and upgrades.
  • Governance & Compliance: Enforce master data standards, support audit readiness, and monitor data quality through KPIs and risk controls.

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Experience  

  • +8 years’ experience managing enterprise finance systems in multi-region environments.
  • Proven expertise in SAP FI/CO, HFM administration, and FDMEE integration.
  • Strong background in financial consolidation, close cycles, and reporting compliance.
  • Experience with SOX, audit, and master data governance.
  • Exposure to tools like EPMWare, Workiva, TM1, or BI/reporting platforms are advantageous
  • Active involvement in large-scale SAP or HFM projects such as SAP and/or HFM migrations, CoA harmonisation, or automation.

Education & Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
  • Professional qualification (CA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • SAP and HFM or other financial system certifications are advantageous.
