Logistics Specialist Internship, Data Center Operations

Roles starting from March 2026 in South Africa.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Logistics Specialist Interns to join our Data Centre team.
This position will support our procurement and supply chain operations. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.
As an intern, you will participate in our 6 months internship program in our Cape Town area Data Centres.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will have the opportunity to join a creative, dynamic team of Logistics Specialists, dedicated to providing our customers with a world class customer service. Be a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure.
Duties include:
· Monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained
· Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts
· Loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations.
· Maintain precise records of all commodities going in and out of company

Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 6 months, starting in March 2026. This position requires the intern to report to work onsite on a daily basis. Intern schedules are typically day schedules, Monday-Friday. A full time position could involve day, evening, or weekend shifts and on-call rotations.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities can include manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials. They may also assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. In handling incoming shipments, they may have to unpack boxes and verify contents. The Logistic Specialist Intern will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company.

As a Seller Success Representative, you’ll serve as the primary connection between AbeBooks and our external sellers—working both independently and within a collaborative team to resolve issues, drive improvements, and enhance the overall seller experience. Your work will have an immediate and visible impact on the AbeBooks customer journey through support initiatives and process optimization, while helping strengthen our seller community and building deep expertise in e-commerce operations and technical support.

Key job responsibilities
Technical Support & Problem Resolution

* Provide prompt, efficient service to AbeBooks sellers via email and phone, delivering consistent results against quality metrics
* Independently troubleshoot technical issues related to inventory and order management
* Identify appropriate escalation paths and make time vs. resource trade-off decisions
* Create and maintain technical documentation for common issues and solutions

Program Execution & Account Management

* Own components of Seller Success Programs including onboarding, targeted sales tactics, and account retention
* Manage seller accounts and provide sales tax, VAT, and compliance support

About the team
The AbeBooks Seller Success Operations (SSO) Team delivers white-glove and standardized tier 2 support through both reactive and proactive channels. Our team combines in-depth platform knowledge and advanced troubleshooting to resolve complex Seller issues, manage seller accounts, conduct tactical outreach, and execute seller success programs.

Basic Qualifications

– Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
– Speak, write, and read fluently in French
– 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing or B2B support role involving email, voice, or messaging interactions for e-commerce, SaaS, or online retail environments
– Proven experience using case management or CRM systems (e.g., INK, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud)
– Strong written communication skills and the ability to document solutions and update internal knowledge bases
– Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience in data interpretation and analysis to influence stakeholders
– Experience providing training and mentorship
– Knowledge of analytical reporting tools (ie Excel, Tableau)
– 3+ years of experience in B2B technical support, seller success, or e-commerce account management
– Hands-on experience contributing to process or workflow improvements, including light project management or program ownership

Key job responsibilities
On the Managed Fleets team, you will get to build innovative software that lets customers define the shape and size of their fleets and to monitor the health and efficiency of how they are run. You will be using technologies like Java, Typescript, React and Python as well as various Native AWS services and Amazon-internal tools. We don’t expect you to be an expert in, or know all these technologies listed, but we do expect you to be excited to learn about them. Compliance Officer, Risk and Compliance Solutions

Amazon’s Risk and Compliance Solutions team is looking for an experienced compliance professional to lead our South Africa Compliance office.

The Compliance Officer is a senior role within the MEA Compliance team and is responsible for operating and improving our 2nd line compliance programs in South Africa.

Key job responsibilities

The Compliance Officer will:


– Provide effective and timely advice on complex regulatory compliance matters to the business, in conjunction with our legal teams.
– Accurately Interpret and advise on applicable ZA regulations, with an emphasis on AML-CTF.
– Work with legal, risk and business leads to develop and maintain our compliance policies and controls.
– Communicate conduct and compliance risks to Senior Management, preparing the reading materials for risk committees as may required.
– Operate and continuously improve the Compliance Monitoring plan for the ZA regulated entity.
– Respond to requests for information from auditors and regulators in a timely manner.
– Lead the digesting and analysis of regulatory change and look for opportunities to influence the regulatory agenda on behalf of our customers.

The MEA compliance team at RCS operates Amazon’s 2nd line Compliance Programs in the Middle East and Africa. We enable Amazon to operate its regulated businesses in compliance with applicable regulation while maintaining great customer experiences. We are experts in regulatory compliance, adept at managing compliance risk and continuously obsess about delighting our customers.

Basic Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
– Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
– Experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions, fraud, or risk management
– Previous experience as a senior member of a Compliance Office in a major bank or e-money/payment institution.

Preferred Qualifications

– Held regulated roles (CO/MLRO) vis-a-vis regulators in the South Africa.
