Area Operations Manager
Role Purpose
The Area Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for managing the functional operational
outputs, assets, costs, and performance of all direct & indirect reports in a specific geographic region or
area to ensure the attainment of divisional performance targets whilst optimizing operational efficiencies
and productivity and ensuring engagement and high performance of workforce.
Role Description
• Manage the key performance outputs and targets of all Operations Team Leads (OTL’s) and direct
reports operating within different geographic areas. Apply corrective or remedial actions as and when
required.

Role Purpose:

Within this context, the Media Insights Analyst will be required to leverage Shoprite’s data assets to generate insights to understand retail media performance and help generate deep-dives and insights for Rainmaker Media clients. This role will act as a business point of contact to translate insights into recommendations and continuously partner with the business, particularly the Rainmaker Media sales team, to explore sales / campaign opportunities, campaign planning and optimization.

Studio Team Lead – Digital Product Data Enrichment
Role Purpose
The Studio Team Lead – Digital Product Data is responsible for the effective management of the Digital Commerce Catalogue’s in-house content production Studio. This role involves leading a dedicated Studio team focused on eCommerce product photography, retouching, copywriting and data capturing. As a team, the Studio is accountable for delivering high-quality visual and informational content for General Merchandise products featured and sold on our eCommerce channels (app & web).
In this role, you will collaborate closely with various business stakeholders, including Buyers, Merchandisers, Suppliers, as well as the broader Catalogue team, to coordinate and execute the seamless end-to-end process of digital enrichment.
The Studio Team Lead is responsible for managing the necessary people, processes, structures, and reporting frameworks needed to optimise Studio operations. You will be expected to propose & implement initiatives that drive continuous improvements while ensuring that high quality output is consistently delivered on-time and meeting all Catalogue enrichment standards.
Role Description
- Manage the end-to-end process of digital product enrichment for general merchandise.
- Act as the primary point of contact and support for all matters related to digital product enrichment for general merchandise.
- Manage and maintain relationships with the ShopriteX Digital Commerce tribe, ShopriteX Digital Product Catalogue QA team, buyers and general merchandise suppliers.
- Together with the ShopriteX Digital Commerce team, compile the enrichment pipeline and all information associated to the pipeline to be actioned by the Digital Commerce studio.
- Manage the Product Data Enrichment Team so that all team members are clear on their roles, responsibilities and co-ordinate the smooth flow of products moving through the pipeline.
- Manage escalations, ensuring all issues are resolved timeously, either by resolving it directly with stakeholders or escalating it to the ShopriteX Digital Commerce team.
- Provide updates, metrics and reports to business on performance and progress made by the Product Enrichment Team in any given daily and weekly period.
- Manage supplier enrichment by:
- tracking supplier uploads to the Supplier Portal and escalating non-compliance to Buyers and
- liaising with the Product Catalogue QA team and overseeing QA.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field – (essential).
- +4 years’ experience in a similar capacity or role with proven team leadership experience – (essential).
- Demonstrable experience managing the end-to-end creation and execution of product content along with a solid understanding of how to deliver customer engaging product content for omnichannel representation – (essential).
- Experience working in an eCommerce environment including knowledge and experience with digital product data – (essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel – (essential).
