2026 BURSARY APPLICATIONS – NOW OPEN

South African UNEMPLOYED students are invited to apply for a bursary to study towards
a built-environment qualification at a public institution of higher learning within the borders of
South Africa. This bursary aims to provide financial assistance for:

  1. Tuition fees
  2. Prescribed textbooks
  3. Accommodation and meals
  4. Transport fees (with conditions)
  5. Research allowance for (Masters and PhD) students only

Requirements

  1. South African citizen
  2. Currently unemployed
  3. Intending to study towards built-environment qualification in a South African public
    institution
  4. Achieved a minimum overall average of 50%
  5. Have a total household income of less than R600 000 per annum

To apply, the following documents are mandatory

  1. Certified ID Copy
  2. Matric Certificate/Statement of results (for first-year applicants)
  3. Latest tertiary academic record (for second or subsequent years)
  4. Proof of acceptance from your tertiary instituation (for both first year and returning students)
  5. Certified Parents’/Guardians’ID documents
  6. Parents’/Guardians’proof of income (latest payslip etc.)
  7. Affidavit as proof of unemploymen
  • The applications are only sent via INDICIUM, no emailed application shall be considered.
  • All attachments are required and should be clear.
  • This is for 2026 academic year, for South African students.
  • Only public institutions of higher learning will be considered.
