We’re inviting experienced External Audit professionals based in the Philippines to take on a 12-month contract, supporting Australian clients and gaining valuable international experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your Australia busy season skills and collaborate with a dynamic, global audit team.

Experienced Associate Minimum requirements: 

  • Completion of an Accounting / Finance related Undergraduate degree.

  • 4 years of external audit experience.

  • Not out of audit for longer than 1 year 
  • Public Accounting firm experience.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Review and coaching of junior team members.

Senior Minimum requirements:

What you will do: 

Provide a broad range of fully integrated audit services for our global clients. (Plus below per level)  

EA:  

  • Provides timely, high-quality deliverables and client service.  
  • Effectively communicates general knowledge of the business, industry, and systems to engagement team and client for efficient information flow.  
  • Responds to and proactively acts on clients’ requests.   
  • Demonstrates knowledge of methodology, relevant standards, and systems and can guide junior team members.   
  • Productively adheres to work plan schedule and completes sections with an acceptable number of workpaper comments.   

 Senior:  

  • Provides timely, high-quality deliverables covering complex sections, with a reasonable number of workpaper comments.   
  • May facilitate fieldwork, coordinate deliverables from multiple team members.   
  • Demonstrates depth of knowledge of methodology, relevant standards, and systems and may collaborate with Manager to guide associates, interns and monitor productivity and workplan schedule.   
  • Proactively addresses client concerns and escalates issues as they arise.  
  • Interacts with clients and engagement teams to help ensure the information flow from the client to the team is efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Benefit Plan Audit Excellence

  • Execute audits for US Employee Benefit Plans, with a focus on 401(k) and 403(b) plans
  • Apply regulatory and industry standards to ensure audit quality and compliance
  • Participate in risk assessments and the development of tailored EBP audit plans
  • Leverage EBP audit software tools to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy

Audit Delivery & Team Collaboration

  • Support audits from planning through to reporting, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist with budget management and engagement performance
  • Review audit files and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the preparation of US GAAP-compliant financial statements for benefit plans
  • Mentor and support junior team members in a collaborative learning environment

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, delivering a high standard of service

Junior Payroll Administrator (Part-time)

South Africa

We are looking for a knowledgeable Junior Payroll Administrator to administer the timeous and accurate processing of payroll in accordance with the company policies, procedures, and the applicable legislation.

Please note that is a part time role (averaging 50 hours per month to start) with the potential to become full time.

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 
  • Diploma or Higher Certificate in Accounting or Payroll or equivalent
  • 3 years’ in payroll administration or financial accounting
  • Basic knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of applicable legislations and regulations of the field
  • Software experience: SAGE, MS Excel and MS Office Suite

What you will be doing:

Payroll Administration

  • Collecting of salary input documents.
  • Scrutinizing of salary documents for abnormalities
  • Ensure all abnormalities and incomplete documents to be logged on input query list and distributed to the People Team.
  • Obtaining outstanding documents when necessary.
  • Prepare documents for processing.
  • Ensure that all input is captured accurately and on time and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure all data is inputted by the deadline date.
  • Ensure timeous action is taken relating to finalization of queries to ensure service delivery continues.
  • Ensure that EE records are updated with documentation and that documents are readily accessible and readily available upon request.
  • Adhere to all deadlines applicable to the payroll team.

  • Ensure the availability of documents captured within the applicable month when queried.

Benefits Administration

  • Ensure all Medical Aid applications are complete and correct as per Company Policies and Medical Aid Plans.
  • Ensure application forms are submitted on time and captured within the applicable month.
  • Ensure all EE are on Pension as per Company Policy and criteria.
  • Ensure that proof can be provided regarding submissions and payment to 3rd parties – record keeping.
  • Garnishees’ queries to be dealt with directly.
  • UI19 documents to be generated immediately upon receipt of termination documents.
  • Abnormalities to be logged, communicated, resolved and feedback communicated.
  • Disseminate payroll information to the relevant parties.

Payroll Reporting

  • Prepare monthly schedules to balance provisions and contributions to the staff list.
  • Ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Ensure all errors on exception reports are corrected timeously.
  • Maintain Audit requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of Contract Dates.
  • Identify and address variances in payroll information.
  • Submit payroll reconciliation to the Manager for review and approval.
  • Prepare payroll reports to verify information.
  • Prepare documentation and information for audit process.

Staff Accountant (External Client Services)

Contract Details:

  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor Agreement

  • Time Zone Requirement: Overlap 4–6 working hours with U.S. time zones
  • Locations: South Africa and Zimbabwe
  • Fee range: This role offers a fee in the range of R25,000 – R35,000 per month depending on qualifications, relevant experience and assessed technical alignment with the role requirements. This is an independent contractor position, and total monthly earnings will vary depending on hours billed per month.

What We’re Looking For:

You are a proactive, dependable professional capable of managing multiple client engagements with precision. You maintain accuracy under pressure, are confident with QuickBooks, and value timely communication. Your responsibilities include execution of daily accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial report preparation under supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting experience
  • Intermediate to advanced QuickBooks proficiency

Responsibilities (may vary by client):

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client contracts and service agreements. 
  • Responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts, with an emphasis on balance sheet items, to ensure accuracy and completeness during monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. 
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in line with both internal and client expectations. 
  • Support the monthly and annual financial close process, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses and account reconciliations.  
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly. 
  • Track asset purchases and calculate monthly depreciation. 
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly. 
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of sales tax, VAT returns, and other local statutory filings. 
  • Assist in preparing financial data for audits and external reviews. 
  • Maintain accounting records in compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements. 
  • Handle client invoicing and ensure timely processing of payments. 
  • Support the ongoing development of internal controls, processes, and improvements in financial reporting systems.
