Graduate Trainee : Finance
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The overarching objective of the graduate program is to transition graduates from a higher learning institution to a work environment. We aim to help graduates become well rounded young professionals with great prospects and a positive future.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Our Finance Unit is responsible for managing the finances of the corporation including; preparing monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, compiling quarterly reports and statutory returns.
As a graduate within the Finance Unit, you will be involved in:
Data Processing
- Processing debtors and creditors invoices
- Processing creditors payments
- Processing cashbooks
- Processing journals
Report Compilation
- Preparing weekly and quarterly cash projections
- Preparing monthly reconciliations
- Preparing weekly and quarterly cash projections
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecast
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Assist with updating finance processes
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- You need to be an Accounting graduate with a BCom degree;
- No previous working experience
- Must be a South African Citizen

Graduate Trainee : Marketing and Communications
PURPOSE OF THE GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAMME
The overarching objective of the graduate program is to transition graduates from a higher learning institution to a work environment. We aim to help graduates become well-rounded young professionals with great prospects and a positive future.
- WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assist with publication of the internal and external newsletters, media relations, event management and other duties required in this area.
- Assist with research on relevant industry trade events, marketing & branding initiatives, digital & programmatic marketing, as well as other duties in this area.
- Assist with research and writing articles to be updated on the website and intranet
- Assist in coordination of relevant ECIC events
- Assist in coordinating and managing branding material at ECIC events or where branding opportunity exists.
- Stock take of Marketing and Communications promotional items and storeroom management
- Assist with administrative duties in the Marketing and Communications Unit
- Liaise with Finance, Procurement and Legal Units on administrative matters and keep a record of all documents accordingly
- Liaison with key media houses and other service providers as required
- Prepare minutes of meeting and other administrative duties
Key interfaces
- Heads of business units and relevant professionals throughout the Corporation.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- A three-year qualification in Public Relations, Marketing and Communications or Digital Marketing
- Excellent understanding of the Marketing and Communications theory.
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Under the age of 30.

The incumbent should have demonstrated the following competencies:

- Basic skills IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)

Graduate Trainee – Human Capital

Our Human resources team is responsible for the full HR functions, including Payroll, Skills Development and Employee Relations.
As a graduate within the Human Resources team, you will:

- Assist HR team with projects and research
- Provide the HR Manager support on office administrative duties
- Coordinate Unit meetings
- Establish and maintain an efficient and effective document management system
- Schedule appointments and book boardrooms for interviews
- Book and coordinate the logistical arrangements for the recruitment and assessment process
- Coordinate and support the on-boarding and integration programme for new employees.
- Assisting with staff wellness initiatives
- Assist with arranging employee events
- Assist with employee onboarding and off-boarding

- BCom/BTech degree in Human Resources, Industrial Phychology or HR Development ;
